形容词和副词的最高级前要加定冠词the.,最高级构成方法也分为规则和不规则变化。

单音节和少数双音节的形容词一般在词尾加-esttalltallestgreatgreatestsmartsmartestclevercleverestgentlegentlestnarrownarrowest,规则变化,以不发音的字母e结尾的直接在词尾加-stfinefinestlargelargestnicenicest,以“辅音+y结尾的双音节词，变y为i，再加-est”原级最高级heavyheaviestdirtydirtiesthappyhappiesteasyeasiestearlyearliest,以重读闭音节的单个辅音字母结尾的词，双写辅音字母，再加-est原级最高级thinthinnestbigbiggesthothottestfatfattestwetwettestredreddest,多音节或大多数双音节的形容词在原级前面加most原级最高级popularmostpopularimportantmostimportantoutgoingmostoutgoingcarefulmostcareful,由“动词+后缀-ing/-ed”构成的形容词，在形容词前加most原级最高级interestingmostinterestingboredmostbored,由“形容词+后缀-ly”构成的副词，在该副词前加most原级最高级slowlymostslowlyhappilymosthappily,不规则变化,最高级的常用句型结构:

“主语+be+the+形容词最高级+in/of”或者“主语+动词+the+副词最高+in/of”，表示“是中最的”Tomisthetallestinhisclass/ofallthestudents.汤姆是班里/所有学生中最高的。

Jackrunsthefastestinhisclass/ofallthestudents.杰克是班里/所有学生中跑得最快的。

“主语+be+oneofthe+形容词最高级+可数名词复数+in/of”，表示“是中最的之一”BeihaiParkisoneofthemostbeautifulparksinBeijing.北海公园是北京最美丽的公园之一。

“主语+be+the+序数词+形容词最高级+名词单数+in/of”，表示“是第几个最”TheYellowRiveristhesecondlongestriverinChina.黄河是中国第二长的河流。

“疑问词+be+the+形容词最高级，A,BorC?
