Inanotherstudy,researchersinvited151studentstoworkoutinthegym,andrandomlyassigned75toa“temptation-bundling”group.Astheyexercised,theylistenedtothestartofanattractiveaudio-novel(有声小说).Attheendoftheirworkout,studentsweretoldthatiftheywantedtohearwhathappenednextintheirbook,theywouldhavetocomebacktothegym.Theycouldonlylistentotheaudio-bookwhileexercising.Theother76studentsalsocompletedthefirstworkoutbutwithoutanykindoftemptationbundle.
Itturnedoutthatthestudentsinthetemptation-bundlinggroupvisitedthegym27%moreoftenthanthecontrolgroupoverthenextsevenweeks.Sadly,thetemptation-bundlingtrickfellapartovertheThanksgivingholidaywhenthegymwasclosed.
