SoresearchersinAustraliaranatest．In2013，theyreleasedsome35，000Wolbachia—carryingAedesaegyptiatonesite，131，000atasecondsite，and286，000atathirdsite，allinthecityofCaims．Andtheytrackedtheinsects’distribution．Seemstheinfectedmosquitoesspreadoutwardfromthetwolargerintroductionareasataslowbutsteadyrateofabout100to200metersperyear．Themosquitoesinthesmallergroupremainedwheretheywere．
