1、港大信息收集我详细说一下申请研究生的流程吧申请时间:从现在开始,分三轮,今年第一轮在12月8日截止,第二轮好像是3月,第三轮在5月份截止。申请材料要看你是申请什么学位咯Msc的话就只需要CV、英语成绩(托福、雅思都行,GRE可要可不要)、推荐信、本科成绩单Mphil和PhD的话除了以上所说的还要一份研究计划(Research proposal),最好还是先与你想申请的教授联系一下申请方式还分为网申和邮递资料另外一份申请要350港币,申请多个方向就交多点咯,这个貌似最好是有Visa,要不就会很麻烦最好还是建议你港大的网站看,虽然有点乱,但看original的总比听别人说好。还有很多网站论坛可以上

5、TOEFL) as specified below: Paper-based test- An overall score of 550 or above- Additional requirement for applicants to the Faculty of Arts except the School of Chinese and the Centre of Buddhist Studies: 4 or above in the Test of Written English (TWE)Internet-based test- An overall score of 80 or a

6、bove- Additional requirement for applicants to the Faculty of Arts except the School of Chinese and the Centre of Buddhist Studies: 25 or above in the Writing sectionApplicants who took the TOEFL should request the Educational Testing Service (ETS) to send an official score report to the University

7、direct. The original or a certified copy of the Examinees score record will not be accepted. For this purpose, the TOEFL code of the University is 9671 and please use 99 as department code for sending the official score report to the HKU Graduate School It is a policy of the TOEFL Policy Council to

8、validate scores which are obtained within a two-year period. The University therefore accepts this two-year validity rule in the admission exercise; or(b) a minimum overall band of 6 with no subtest lower than 5.5 in the International English Language Testing System (IELTS) (Academic module) (applic

9、ants of admission to read for an MPhil or a PhD degree in the Faculty of Arts except the Centre of Buddhist Studies are required to obtain an overall band of 7 with no subtest lower than 5.5 in the IELTS); or (c) grade C or above in the Overseas General Certificate of Education (GCE); or (d) grade C

10、 or above in the International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE); or (e) grade C or above in the Cambridge Test of Proficiency in English Language (CPE); unless in exceptional circumstances when they are exempted from this requirement. Since places for research postgraduate studies

Application PeriodApplications are accepted and considered in three batches with the following deadlines: - December 8 (HKPF Scheme* and Main Round) - April 30 (1st Clearing Roun

12、d) - August 31 (2nd Clearing Round)*For the HKPF scheme, applicants have to submit an initial application to the Research Grants Council (RGC) from September 6 to December 1, 2010 (HKT 12:00nn or GMT +8 hours) before submission of a full application to The University of Hong Kong.Successful MPhil ap

13、plicants will commence studies on either September 1 or January 1. Successful PhD applicants may commence studies on the first day of any calendar month. Due to the limited number of student places, it would be to your advantage if you submit your applications for the main round. 2. Submission of Ap

14、plicationApplication for admission should be submitted online and a complete set of supporting documents should be uploaded to the Online Application System after payment of application fee. Applicants who wish to apply for admission to more than one department should submit an application with a co

15、mplete set of supporting documents for each proposed department of study. 3. Application Acknowledgement After your application has been submitted and the online payment of application fee has been settled, an acknowledgement message with your application number will be shown. For applicants who set

16、tle the application fee by means other than online payment, an acknowledgement email will be sent after the payment/original payment proof is received. Please quote the application number and your full name in all future correspondence with the Graduate School. 4. Interview/Test The application pape

17、rs will be reviewed by the relevant Faculty/School/Department/Centre/Institute. Applicants may be required to attend an interview and/or sit for a test arranged by the proposed department of study as part of the selection process. 5. Notification of Results The Graduate School will inform all applic

18、ants of the result of their applications via email in about three to four months after the deadline of application. Applicants may also check the result on the web and the details will be given in the result notification email. Under NO circumstances will the Graduate School inform applicants of the

19、 results through telephone. 6. Postgraduate Studentships (PGS)Full-time MPhil and PhD students who hold a first degree at second class honors upper division (or equivalent) or above are normally considered eligible for receiving Postgraduate Studentships during the normative study period. The Univer

20、sitys Board of Graduate Studies (BoGS), which has sole and absolute discretion in granting the award of the Postgraduate Studentship, may also take into consideration the candidates results in Masters degrees. Studentships are tenable on an annual basis and are renewable upon satisfactory progress a

21、nd the availability of funding. The monthly stipend for the 2011-12 academic year is HK$13,100 and the value of the Studentship is subject to review by the University from time to time. Please indicate whether you would like to receive a Postgraduate Studentship in the application. No separate appli

22、cation form for a Postgraduate Studentship is required. A Postgraduate Studentship holder may be required to undertake in each year, under supervision, duties which carry educational benefits for the holder. The amount of such work to be performed by a student receiving the above amount of Studentsh

23、ip shall not exceed 100 hours. Apart from the work undertaken in this capacity, the Studentship holder shall not undertake any other employment either within or outside the University during the tenure of the Studentship. 7. Documents/information submitted/uploaded after the deadline may not be considered.The University views any act of plagiarism as of th

28、e utmost seriousness and it is a form of academic misdemeanour that the University will not tolerate. The University, when appropriate, will conduct a plagiarism check on the research proposal (for all applicants) and vision statement (for HKPF applicants) submitted. The result of the plagiarism che

29、ck will be taken into consideration when the Department, Faculty and Graduate School review the application. The application may be deemed unsuccessful if plagiarised materials are identified in the application.To ensure successful uploading of the supporting documents onto the system, the files sho

30、uld be in PDF or JPEG format. The uploading function is best operated with Internet Explorer 6.0. A maximum total file size of 50MB is allowed for each application and each file should not exceed 1.5 MB in size. Files uploaded, if deemed appropriate, can be deleted by the applicant. In order to supp

31、ort the Universitys environmental friendly initiatives, documents uploaded to the system should NOT be delivered to the Graduate School by post in duplicate.
