我详细说一下申请研究生的流程吧……

申请时间：

从现在开始，分三轮，今年第一轮在12月8日截止，第二轮好像是3月，第三轮在5月份截止。

申请材料要看你是申请什么学位咯

Msc的话就只需要CV、英语成绩（托福、雅思都行，GRE可要可不要）、推荐信、本科成绩单

Mphil和PhD的话除了以上所说的还要一份研究计划（Researchproposal），最好还是先与你想申请的教授联系一下

申请方式还分为网申和邮递资料

另外一份申请要350港币，申请多个方向就交多点咯，这个貌似最好是有Visa，要不就会很麻烦

最好还是建议你港大的网站看，虽然有点乱，但看original的总比听别人说好。

还有很多网站论坛可以上啊，寄托、太傻等等

GeneralQualificationsforAdmission

ThebasicqualificationnecessaryforadmissiontoresearchpostgraduatestudiesisagoodhonoursdegreefromthisUniversityoranequivalentqualificationfromacomparableinstitution.Inaddition,certaindegreecourseshavemorespecificrequirements.Qualifyingexaminationstotesttheapplicants’abilitiestofollowtheprescribedcoursesand/orinterviewsmaybeconducted.Applicantswithqualificationsotherthananhonoursdegreeareconsideredontheirindividualmerits.

ApplicantswhowishtobeadmittedtohigherdegreesonthebasisofaqualificationfromauniversityoracomparableinstitutionoutsideHongKongwherethelanguageofteachingand/orexaminationisnotEnglisharerequiredtoobtainthefollowing:

（a）aminimumscoreintheTestofEnglishasaForeignLanguage（TOEFL）asspecifiedbelow:

ApplicantswhotooktheTOEFLshouldrequesttheEducationalTestingService（ETS）tosendanofficialscorereporttotheUniversitydirect.TheoriginaloracertifiedcopyoftheExaminee’sscorerecordwillnotbeaccepted.Forthispurpose,theTOEFLcodeoftheUniversityis9671andpleaseuse99asdepartmentcodeforsendingtheofficialscorereporttotheHKUGraduateSchool[ItisapolicyoftheTOEFLPolicyCounciltovalidatescoreswhichareobtainedwithinatwo-yearperiod.TheUniversitythereforeacceptsthistwo-yearvalidityruleintheadmissionexercise];or

（b）aminimumoverallbandof6withnosubtestlowerthan5.5intheInternationalEnglishLanguageTestingSystem（IELTS）（Academicmodule）（applicantsofadmissiontoreadforanMPhiloraPhDdegreeintheFacultyofArtsexcepttheCentreofBuddhistStudiesarerequiredtoobtainanoverallbandof7withnosubtestlowerthan5.5intheIELTS）;or

（c）gradeCoraboveintheOverseasGeneralCertificateofEducation（GCE）;or

（d）gradeCoraboveintheInternationalGeneralCertificateofSecondaryEducation（IGCSE）;or

（e）gradeCoraboveintheCambridgeTestofProficiencyinEnglishLanguage（CPE）;

unlessinexceptionalcircumstanceswhentheyareexemptedfromthisrequirement.

Sinceplacesforresearchpostgraduatestudiesarelimited,itmaynotbepossibletoofferadmissiontoallqualifiedapplicants.

GeneralInformationandInstructions

1.ApplicationPeriod

Applicationsareacceptedandconsideredinthreebatcheswiththefollowingdeadlines:

-December8（HKPFScheme*andMainRound）

-April30（1stClearingRound）

-August31（2ndClearingRound）

*FortheHKPFscheme,applicantshavetosubmitaninitialapplicationtotheResearchGrantsCouncil（RGC）fromSeptember6toDecember1,2010（HKT12:

00nnorGMT+8hours）beforesubmissionofafullapplicationtoTheUniversityofHongKong.

SuccessfulMPhilapplicantswillcommencestudiesoneitherSeptember1orJanuary1.SuccessfulPhDapplicantsmaycommencestudiesonthefirstdayofanycalendarmonth.Duetothelimitednumberofstudentplaces,itwouldbetoyouradvantageifyousubmityourapplicationsforthemainround.

2.SubmissionofApplication

ApplicationforadmissionshouldbesubmittedonlineandacompletesetofsupportingdocumentsshouldbeuploadedtotheOnlineApplicationSystemafterpaymentofapplicationfee.Applicantswhowishtoapplyforadmissiontomorethanonedepartmentshouldsubmitanapplicationwithacompletesetofsupportingdocumentsforeachproposeddepartmentofstudy.

3.ApplicationAcknowledgement

Afteryourapplicationhasbeensubmittedandtheonlinepaymentofapplicationfeehasbeensettled,anacknowledgementmessagewithyourapplicationnumberwillbeshown.Forapplicantswhosettletheapplicationfeebymeansotherthanonlinepayment,anacknowledgementemailwillbesentafterthepayment/originalpaymentproofisreceived.PleasequotetheapplicationnumberandyourfullnameinallfuturecorrespondencewiththeGraduateSchool.

4.Interview/Test

TheapplicationpaperswillbereviewedbytherelevantFaculty/School/Department/Centre/Institute.Applicantsmayberequiredtoattendaninterviewand/orsitforatestarrangedbytheproposeddepartmentofstudyaspartoftheselectionprocess.

5.NotificationofResults

TheGraduateSchoolwillinformallapplicantsoftheresultoftheirapplicationsviaemailinaboutthreetofourmonthsafterthedeadlineofapplication.Applicantsmayalsochecktheresultonthewebandthedetailswillbegivenintheresultnotificationemail.UnderNOcircumstanceswilltheGraduateSchoolinformapplicantsoftheresultsthroughtelephone.

6.PostgraduateStudentships（PGS）

Full-timeMPhilandPhDstudentswhoholdafirstdegreeatsecondclasshonorsupperdivision（orequivalent）orabovearenormallyconsideredeligibleforreceivingPostgraduateStudentshipsduringthenormativestudyperiod.TheUniversity'sBoardofGraduateStudies（BoGS）,whichhassoleandabsolutediscretioningrantingtheawardofthePostgraduateStudentship,mayalsotakeintoconsiderationthecandidates'resultsinMaster'sdegrees.Studentshipsaretenableonanannualbasisandarerenewableuponsatisfactoryprogressandtheavailabilityoffunding.Themonthlystipendforthe2011-12academicyearisHK$13,100andthevalueoftheStudentshipissubjecttoreviewbytheUniversityfromtimetotime.PleaseindicatewhetheryouwouldliketoreceiveaPostgraduateStudentshipintheapplication.NoseparateapplicationformforaPostgraduateStudentshipisrequired.

APostgraduateStudentshipholdermayberequiredtoundertakeineachyear,undersupervision,dutieswhichcarryeducationalbenefitsfortheholder.TheamountofsuchworktobeperformedbyastudentreceivingtheaboveamountofStudentshipshallnotexceed100hours.Apartfromtheworkundertakeninthiscapacity,theStudentshipholdershallnotundertakeanyotheremploymenteitherwithinoroutsidetheUniversityduringthetenureoftheStudentship.

DocumentstoSupportanApplication

PleasereadthefollowingcarefullyandsubmittherequireddocumentstotheGraduateSchoolbytheapplicationdeadline.Thereviewer（s）willconsideryourapplicationbasedontheinformationanddocumentssubmittedanditisyourresponsibilitytoprovideaccurateandsufficientinformation.Documents/informationsubmitted/uploadedafterthedeadlinemaynotbeconsidered.

TheUniversityviewsanyactofplagiarismasoftheutmostseriousnessanditisaformofacademicmisdemeanourthattheUniversitywillnottolerate.TheUniversity,whenappropriate,willconductaplagiarismcheckontheresearchproposal（forallapplicants）andvisionstatement（forHKPFapplicants）submitted.TheresultoftheplagiarismcheckwillbetakenintoconsiderationwhentheDepartment,FacultyandGraduateSchoolreviewtheapplication.Theapplicationmaybedeemedunsuccessfulifplagiarisedmaterialsareidentifiedintheapplication.

Toensuresuccessfuluploadingofthesupportingdocumentsontothesystem,thefilesshouldbeinPDForJPEGformat.TheuploadingfunctionisbestoperatedwithInternetExplorer6.0.Amaximumtotalfilesizeof50MBisallowedforeachapplicationandeachfileshouldnotexceed1.5MBinsize.Filesuploaded,ifdeemedappropriate,canbedeletedbytheapplicant.InordertosupporttheUniversity'senvironmentalfriendlyinitiatives,documentsuploadedtothesystemshouldNOTbedeliveredtotheGraduateSchoolbypostinduplicate.IfitisrequiredthatofficialcopyofthedocumentsshouldbesenttotheGraduateSchooldirect（e.g.theofficialscorereportsofEnglishlanguageproficiencytests,GMAT/GREetc.）,pleasemaketherequesttotheorganizationconcernedassoonaspossible.

1.Certificatesandcompletetranscriptsofundergraduateandpostgraduatestudies

Pleaseuploadofficialcertificatesandcompleteofficialtranscriptsofyourundergraduateandpostgraduatestudies.Thebacksideofthetranscript（s）shouldalsobeprovidedifitcontainsinformationonthegradingsystem.DocumentswhicharenotinEnglishshouldbeaccompaniedbyaformallytranslatedversioninEnglish.Ifitis
