The sig nal source GND shall be conn ected to the speaker PWR GND at the speaker.3.0.2 PositionUn less otherwise specified, the speaker shall meet all requireme nts in the “norposition ” . It is defined on the Product Specification as to the horizontal or vertical position of the moun

13、ti ng surface.3.0.3 Room TemperatureUn less otherwise specified, all measureme nts shall be made at room temperature. Room temperature is specified as 2C +/-3C.3.0.4 Frequency RangeThe frequency range is specified from the -3dB point at the upper and lower operating range of the driver. This range a

14、nd the limits with in that range shall specified on the Product Specificati on.3.0.5 NoiseThe products are divided into three groups, full range (multi-eleme nt), mid-bass, and subwoofer. The type of product shall be specified on the Product Specificati on.Full Range will use track 13 on the Car Aud

15、io Test Disc Version 2.0: IEC noise with a crest factor of 9dB.Mid-bass will use track 14 on the Car Audio Test Disc Versi on 2.0: a decade of pink noise, 50 to 500Hz (-3dB poi nts) 12dB slopes, with a crest factor of 9dB.Sub-woofer will use track 15 on the Car Audio Test Disc Version 2.0: a decade

16、of pink noise, 30 to 300Hz (-3dB poi nts), 12dB slopes, with a crest factor of 9dB.3.0.6 Music Sig nalThe products are divided into two groups: 1) full range (multi-element) and mid-bass, 2) subwoofer. 18、ation (ETS).4.0.1 PolarizationWith the driver face dow n and the termi nal facing toward you the Product Specificati on shall ide ntify the positive term in al, which shall be labeled Pin 1 or “ +” . Whe n a posis applied to the positive term in al, the cone shall move outward from the basket produc

19、 ing positive pressure.Ref. IEC 268-24.0.2 DC ResistanceEn sure that the test lead resista nee is factored out of this measureme nt. Connect the test leads to the speaker and measure the resista nee in ohms with an averag ing ohmmeter to en sure that ambient noise levels do not produce an EMF at the

20、 meter yielding false resistance readings. The DCR shall be with in the limits specified on the Product Specificati on.4.0.3 ImpedanceRigidly suspend the speaker from the motor structure in free air at least 50 cm from the n earest reflect ing surface. Moun ti ng means must be mini mal in bulk such

21、that the air movement during testing is substantially unrestricted.Measure the deviati on from the Refere nce Sample Speaker impeda nce at each of the defi ned frequencies. The deviation at all frequencies shall be within the limits specified on the Product Specificati on.4.0.4 Frequency Resp onseAp

22、ply a stepped sine wave sweep or an etics sig nal over the specified freque ncy ran ge, using the specified freque ncy spaci ng, with the specified ban dwidth smooth ing per the Product Specificati on, and an alyze the microph one output. Calibrate the measureme nt system to display the 1 Watt 1 Met

23、er equivale nt sen sitivity based on Zom as specified on the Product Specificati on. Display the SPL and the Freque ncy in ISO sta ndard 25dB/decade aspect ratio. The resulta nt graph of amplitude vs. freque ncy is defi ned as the freque ncy resp on se. Measure the deviati on from the Refere nce Sam

24、ple Speaker sound pressure level at each of the defi ned freque ncy ban ds. The deviatio n at all freque ncies shall be with in the limits specified on the Product Specificati on.To verify that no damage has occurred to the Refere nee Sample Speaker and that the test equipme nt is fun cti oning prop

25、erly, the first process shall be to test the Refere nee Sample Speaker aga inst the stored data from the previous product ion run s. If there is a cha nge of more tha n one sta ndard deviati on at any freque ncy, both the Refere nee Sample Speaker and test equipme nt shall be re-calibrated.4.0.5 Ext

26、ran eous NoiseThe speaker assembly shall not produce extra neous no ise whe n a dyn amic test is performed.The follow ing types of deficie ncies are some typical causes of extra neous no ise:Buzz: Any no ise produced by a loose ness of comp onents vibrat ing aga inst other comp onen ts.Rub: Any no i

27、se produced by the voice coil slid ing or rubb ing aga inst other comp onen ts. Bottomi ng: The no ise produced by the con tact of the movi ng system with the speaker structure.Rattle: The random noise produced by an object trapped within the speaker striking moving comp onents or any in termitte nt

28、 no ise caused by loose electrical connections or con trols.Frozen Coil: Absenee of free excursion caused by adhesive in the magnetic gap or an offset (loose) comp onent of magn etic circuit.Air Noise: The noise produced by high velocity airflow through a small leak.5.0 Qualificati on Test ingThe re

29、liability target for all car speaker products is zero defects at 50,000 miles operation. Successful completio n of the test is inten ded to dem on strate 90% reliability with 90% con fide nee.5.1Life CycleEach speaker shall withsta nd 5 cycles (totali ng 215 hours) of the en vir onmen tal eon diti o

30、ns outl ined below. The speakers should be checked once a day on a regular basis. A full functional test should be performed on all units at the end of the second and fifth cycles.5.1.1Life Cycle Calibrati onThe supplied Car Audio Test Disc Version 2.0 facilitates accurate test level calibration and

31、 testi ng eon siste ncy by in corporati ng si ne wave test tones (first three tracks) that are calibrated to the music tracks specified for testi ng.Using the RMS number from the Product Specification under the “ Life Cycle ” colulevel will be calibrated with the appropriate test tone (track 1 for subwoofers, track 2 for midbass, and track 3 for multi-eleme n
