Thefindingshighlightthepsychologicalbenefitsthatcloserelationshipscanoffer.Infact,studyparticipantsrankedhumaninteractionasamoresignificantexpressionoflovethanreceivingmaterialitems,likepresents.ConnectingwithotherswasalsoratedmorehighlythangettingpositivefeedbackontheInternet,indicatingthatpeoplegetthemostsupportfrompersonalhumancontact.
