本单元是九年级冀教版教材的第三单元。
本单元是由六课构成,以“安全”为话题展示讨论。
第十三课由丹尼在家发生事故引发对各种事故的探讨;第十四课描述了一场车祸;第十五课描述了一场自行车出行发生的事故;第十六课说明在家如何避免事故的发生;第十七课学习如何在地震中自救;第十八课是LiMing给Brian的信,描述了在日常生活中发生的小事故。
