Whydoweconform?

Inmanycases,lookingtotherestofthegroupforcluesforhowweshouldbehavecanactuallybehelpful.Othersmighthavegreaterknowledgeorexperiencethanwedo,sofollowingtheirleadcanactually,beinstructive.Andinsomecases,weconformtotheexpectationsofthegrouptoavoidlookingfoolish.Thistendencycanbecomeespeciallystronginsituationswherewearen’tquitesurehowtoact.Additionally,therearesomesituationswhereweconformjustinordertoavoidpunishmentsorgainrewards.
