Jobswasbornin1955.HegrewupinCalifornia,inanareathatlaterbecameknownastheSiliconvalley.Whenhewasabout14yearsold,hebecamefriendswithStephenWozniakWozniakwaswhatpeopleinthosedayscalledanelectronicswhizkid.Helikedtodesignandbuildhisownelectronicequipment.

In1975，Wozniakstarteddesigningapersonalcomputer.Thisatatimewhennobodyownedpersonalcomputersintheirhomes.Jobswasyoung.Hewasonly20.Buteventhenhehadasharpbusinessbrain.JobsconvincedWozniakthattheycouldbuildthesepersonalcomputersinhisgarageandsellthem.ayearlater,JobsandwozniakfoundedtheapplecomputerCompany,andstartedbuildingandsellingpersonalcomputers.

Whentheirappleiicomputerwentonthemarketin1977，itbecameahugesuccessSuddenlytherewasamassmarketforacomputerthatpeoplecouldbuyatastoreandusesittingintheirownhomesTheapplellbecametheworld'sfirstmassproducedpersonalcomputer,andbytheageof25，SteveJobwasamillionaire.

Jobswasbrilliantinmanyways,buthewasnotalwaysverygoodatworkingwithotherpeople.Heneededeverythingtobeperfect,andthiscausedproblemsatApple.In1985，then,JobsleftAppleandstartedanewcomputercompanyandsoonafterhealsowentintobusinesswithacompanycalledPixarPixarwasacompanytryingtodevelopasystemforusingCGI-computer-generatedimagerytobeusedinanimatedfilmsAndJobswasjustthepersontohelpthem.

In1995.PixarreleasedthemovietovstoryItwasthefirstfull-length,computer-generated,animatedfilm.ItwasabighitandPixarbecameavery,veryprofitablecompanyandsteveJobsbecameavery,veryrichmanabillionaireinfact.

Inthe10yearsafterleavingapplejobslearnedalotaboutworkingwithpeopleandrunningacompany.Sowhenhereturnedtoapplein1995.hemademanychanges.

WithoutJobs,Applewasnotdoingsowell.ButJobshadaalsowantedthemtobebeautifulobjectsthatpeoplewouldevision.Hedidntonlywantpersonalcomputerstobeuseful,henjoylookingatandusing.In1998，Appleintroducedtheimacanewdesktopcomputerandthenextyear,theiBook,anewlaptopcomputer.Peoplethoughtbothwereveryattractiveandtheyimmediatelybecameverypopular,andapplebecameprofitablecompanyagain.

ButSteveJobswasntfinished.HehadanevenbiggervisionHebelievedthatpersonalcomputerswouldbecomethecenterthehub,ofpeople'sdigitallives.Soin2001JobsintroducedApple's"digitalhub"strategyHetoldtheworldthatthecomputerwouldbecomethehubofalltheirelectronicequipment.Youcouldconnectyourcamera,yourmusicplayerandyourvideorecordertothecomputerandmanageallyourvideos,photos,andmusicusingiTunes,iMovie,iPhoto,andotherappleprograms,or"apps"Overthenext10years,applecreatedproductsthatmadejobsvisionareality.In2001，thecompanyintroducedtheiPod,whichquicklybecamethemostpopulardigitalmusicplayer.InJanuary2007，JobsintroducedtheiPhoneandsuddenlyyourphonebecamelikeaminicomputer.ItwaslikehavinganiPod,acamera,andaphoneallinonedevicethatyoucouldholdinyourhand.ThenthreeyearslaterhereleasedtheiPadontothemarket.Thisreallywasasmall,lightcomputerthatyoucouldholdinyourhand.
