①该句是由what引导的特殊疑问句。
前一个do为助动词，本身无实际意义，用于构成疑问句结构；后一个do为实义动词，意为“做，干”，是该句的谓语。

②weekend名词，意为“周末（星期六和星期日）”。
onweekends固定词组，意为“在周末”，也可说成atweekends。
