Thestudyalsoconfirmedthattextingisreplacingtalkingamongteens.Teensadmittedspendingnearlyanequalamountoftimetalkingastheydotextingeachmonth.Thefeatureissoimportanttothemthatiftextingwerenolongeranoption47%ofteenssaytheirsociallifewouldendorbeworsened—that’sespeciallysoamongfemales（54%vs.40%）.
