Thepetitionssoonstartedtoflowin.theideawasfortheBritishpeopletoexpresstheirconstructiveideas.Manychoseinsteadtoexpresstheirsenseofhumor.

OnepetitionercalledonTonyBlairto“stoptheDeputyPrimeMinistereatingsomuch”.Anotherwantedtoexpel(驱逐)ScotlandfromtheUnitedKingdombecauseScottishfootballfansneversupportEnglandintheWorldCup.

OtherpetitionerscalledonthePrimeMinistertoabolishthemonarchy.Somewantedtogiveitmorepower.SomewantedtoopposetheUnitedStates.OtherswantedtoleavetheEuropeanUnion.Somewantedtosendmoretroopstolraqandotherswantedthemallbroughthome.Somewantedtoadopttheeuro(欧元).Otherswantedtokeepthepound.
