【节日】——清明节

　　清明节的习俗是丰富有趣的，除了讲究禁火、扫墓，还有踏青、荡秋千、蹴鞠、打马球、插柳等一系列风俗体育活动。

相传这是因为清明节要寒食禁火，为了防止寒食冷藏伤身，所以大家来参加一些体育活动，以锻炼身体。

因此，这个节日既有祭扫新坟生别死离得悲酸泪，又有踏青游玩的欢笑声，是一个富有特色的节日。

【原文】

都江堰中兴镇发生山体滑坡（landslide）——这是2008年四川地震时受灾最严重的地方。

山体滑坡覆盖了大约两平方公里，摧毁了至少11所房子。

到目前为止，已有200多名居民被疏散。

山体滑坡几个小时后，巡逻队员到达现场时，一切都已经是一片汪洋。

目击者描述石头和残骸（debris）从山上滚下来，不到三分钟就把八座房屋吞没了。

秦始皇陵墓（theMausoleumoftheEmperorQinShihuang）坐落在陕西省西安市临潼区以东5公里的骊山北部，是中国历史上第一个皇帝的最终休眠之地。

它于公元前246年开始建造,工程持续了38年。

它占地面积56.25平方公里，是中国历史上最大的陵墓。

TheMausoleumoftheEmperorQinShihuang,locatedatthenorthernfootoftheLishanMountainfivekilometerseastofLintongDistrict,Xi’anCity,ShanxiProvince,isthefinalrestingplaceofthefirstemperorinthehistoryofChina.Itsconstructionlastedfor38years,commencingin246BC.Withanareaof56.25squarekilometers,it’sthelargestmausoleuminChina’shistory.
