要求学生系统学习中国历史的基本知识，了解中华文明的过去、现在及其在世界文明中的地位与特点，掌握从事历史学研究的基本理论、方法和技能，善于思辩和写作，初步具备独立从事历史学专业研究和跨学科人文社会科学研究的能力。
历史学基地班由武汉大学历史学院负责日常教学管理
主要专业课程有：
中国通史、世界通史、史学概论、中国历史文献学、中国史学典籍导读、史学论文写作、中国文化史、中国经济史、中国社会史、中国历史地理以及各类专题课和专业选修课等。
优秀毕业生可被推荐免试攻读硕士学位，其他毕业生可在高等院校、科研机构从事教学与科研工作，在文化部门、政府机关、企事业单位从事行政管理、宣传教育和文秘等工作。

Asarudimentarysubject,historyischaracterizedbyitsgeneralknowledgeandinterdisciplinaryfeature.Troughsystematicandsolidspecializedtrainingandqualityeducation,bothinclassandoutofclass,wehopetotrainhistoryspecialistswhoareequippedwithThreeBasics-basictheory,basichistoricalmaterialsandbasicskills,andwithFourNatures-systematicness,scientificness,speculation,andintegration.Ourstudentsareacademicallyinnovativehistoryspecialistswithbroadinternationalvisionaswellasinterdisciplinarytalentswithwisdomandhistoricalvisionwhohavereceivedsystematicandprofessionaltraining.Onlyinthiswaycanourstudentsadjustthemselvestothedevelopmentofpolitics,economics,andcultureinoursociety.WerequirestudentstoacquirethefundamentalknowledgeofChinesehistoryinasystematicway,sothattheycanunderstandthepastandthecurrentsituationofChinesecivilizationanditsstatusandtraitsinworldcivilizations,andtheycanhaveagoodcommandofthebasictheories,methods,andskillsofhistoryresearch.Excellinginspeculationandwriting,ourstudentsareabletoundertakeresearchintohistoryandinterdisciplinaryhumanandsocialscienceindependently.

2、哲学基地班（国家文科基础学科人才培养和科学研究基地）
武汉大学哲学基地班是教育部首批国家文科基础学科人才培养和科学研究基地。
基地确立的培养目标是：
通过精读中国、西方、马克思的主要哲学典籍，强化哲学理论思维能力、方法论的训练，使学生具有坚实的哲学理论基础和系统的中、西、马哲学史专业知识，能运用科学的世界观和方法论分析当今世界与中国的现实问题，具有较好的哲学思辨能力、创新能力、口头与文字表达能力的理论研究人才或从事实际工作的应用型、复合型高级人才。
哲学概论、马克思主义哲学原理、马克思主义哲学史、中国哲学史、西方哲学史、马克思主义哲学原著、中西哲学原著导读、科学技术哲学、逻辑学、心理学、美学、宗教学、专业外语等。
毕业生可在高等院校、科研机构、党政机关、新闻出版、公司企业等部门从事教学、科研、管理、策划、宣传、采编、文秘等工作。
优秀毕业生可被推荐免试攻读硕士学位或硕博连读。
TheBaseClassofPhilosophy（Thenationalbaseforthetalentstrainingandscientificresearchofbasicdisciplinesofarts）
ApprovedbytheMinistryofEducation,theBaseClassofPhilosophyisamongthefirstgroupofthebasesforthetalentstrainingandscientificresearchofbasicdisciplinesofarts.Thetraininggoalssetupbythebaseclassare:
throughtheintensivereadingofthemajorChinese,WesternandMarxistphilosophicalclassicsandtheintensivetrainingofthethinkingabilityofphilosophicaltheoriesandmethodology,thestudentscanhaveasolidfoundationofphilosophicaltheoriesandasystematiccommandoftheprofessionalknowledgerelatingtothehistoryofChinese,WesternandMarxistPhilosophy.Meanwhile,thestudentsshouldbeabletoanalyzethepracticalproblemsofthecontemporaryworldandChinathroughscientificworldoutlookandmethodology.Weaimsatcultivatinghigh-levelpracticalandcomprehensivetalentswhocandothetheoreticalresearchorengageinpracticalworkwithaconsiderablygoodthinkingcapacityofphilosophicaltheory,innovativespirit,andverbalandwrittencompetence.

3、经济学基地班（国家经济学基础科学人才培养基地）
经济学基地班立足本土，面向财经高端战略研究、教育和管理部门，引进国际现代经济学教育规范，对学生进行以政治经济学和西方经济学为核心的严格的现代化经济学训练；
着重于通过现代经济学教育使学生打下坚实的基础，掌握马克思主义经济学和西方现代经济学的基本理论，掌握现代经济学的主要分析方法（如数理分析和计量分析方法），并能够理论联系实际，运用现代经济学理论分析、解决实际经济问题，有较高的外语水平和较强的计算机运用能力。
培养适应中国现代化建设和当代经济学教育发展的需要，理论基础扎实、知识面宽、适应能力和实际工作能力强、富有创新精神的高级专门人才。
经济学基地班设在经济与管理学院。
政治经济学、西方经济学、货币银行学、财政学、国际经济学、统计学、会计学、计量经济学、中级宏观经济学、中级微观经济学、产业经济学、发展经济学、数理经济学、《资本论》选读、中国经济史、外国经济思想史等。
毕业生可在政府职能部门、金融机构、大型公司、新闻与出版机构、大专院校、经济研究机构、经济咨询及各种经济服务部门从事经济理论研究、教学、决策咨询和实际经济管理等工作。

Baseditselfuponthelocalcommunityandtowardstheresearch,educationandmanagementsectorsofhigh-endstrategiesinthefieldoffinanceandeconomics,theBaseClassofEconomicshasintroducedinternationaleconomicseducationstandardstotrainthestudentsinmoderneconomics,concentratingonpoliticaleconomyandwesterneconomics.Troughthemoderneconomicseducation,ourstudentsareabletolayasolidfoundationofmasteringthetheoriesofMarxistEconomicsandWesternModernEconomicsandthemainanalyticalmethodsofmoderneconomics,suchasmathematicalanalysisandquantitativeanalysis.Andourstudentsalsohavethecapacitytointegratetheorywithpracticeandapplyeconomicstheoriestosolvepracticaleconomicproblems.Moreover,ourstudentsareequippedwithhigh-levelforeignlanguageandcomputerskills.Ouraimistotrainexcellentandspecializedtalentswithastrongtheoryfoundationandbroadknowledgeextentwhoexcelthemselvesforcreativity,goodadaptiveandworkingcapacity.SoourstudentsdefinitelymeettherequirementsofChina’smodernizationdriveandthedevelopmentofcontemporaryeconomicseducation.

4、数学基地班（国家基础科学研究和教学人才培养基地）
数学基地班是教育部首批十五个全国理科基础科学人才培养基地数学学科专业点之一。
研究数学科学的基本理论、方法及其应用，特别是现代高科技环境下的交叉与应用。
培养系统掌握数学和应用数学的基本理论、基本方法，获得数学建模、计算机和数学软件方面的基本训练，具有较高的科学素养和较强的创新意识，具备科学研究、教学、解决实际问题及软件开发等能力的高级数学专门人才。
数学基地班由武汉大学数学与统计学院负责日常教学管理。
数学分析、高等代数与解析几何、常微分方程、广义函数与数学物理方程、抽象代数、泛函分析、概率论、拓扑学、实变函数、复变函数、微分几何、数值分析、数学模型、数学实验、数理统计、C语言与数据库技术、组合数学与编码和物理等。
毕业生可在高等院校从事教学、科研工作，也可在企事业单位、金融机构、行政部门从事应用研究、科技开发、决策管理、软件研制等方面的工作。

TheBaseClassofMathematicsisoneofthefirst15spotsapprovedbyMinistryofEducationinthefieldofmathematicsoftheNationalTrainingBaseforTalentsofFundamentalScientificResearchandTeaching.Weconcentrateourstudyonbasictheories,methodsandapplicationsofmathematics,especiallytheintersectionandapplicationunderthecircumstancesofmodernhigh-tech.Ouraimistotrainhigh-levelmathematicalspecialistswhohavesystematicallymasteredthefundamentaltheoriesandmethodsofmathematicsandappliedmathematics,andwhohavereceivedrudimentarytrainingsinmathematicalmodeling,computerandmathematicalsoftware.Ourstudentsareofimpressivescientificattainmentsandtheypossessstronginnovativeawareness,sothattheyareadequatetoundertaketheworkofscientificresearchandteaching,ofsolvingpracticalproblemsandofsoftwaredevelopment.
