HemingwaywasanAmericanwriterandjournalist.HewasbornonJuly21,1899.Hiswritingstylehadastronginfluenceon20th-centuryfiction,whilehislifeofadventureandhispublicimageaffectedlatergenerations.

In1922,hemarriedRichardson,thefirstofhisfourwives.ThecouplemovedtoParis,whereheworkedasaforeignjournalistandfellundertheinfluenceofthemodernistwritersandartistsofthe1920scalled“LostGeneration”.TheSunAlsoRise,Hemingway’sfirstnovel,waspublishedin1926,withwhichhescoredhisfirstsolidsuccess.
