Worldeconomyhasbeenstridingforwardinthepastcentury.However,thishasbeenachievedatthecostofcontaminatingtheenvironmentwearelivingin,andhumanbeingsarenowpayinghighpricesforwhattheyhavedonetonature.Meanwhile,manyenvironmentalistsaredevotedtomakingmorepeoplerealizetheecologicalconsequencesincurredintheprocessofmodernization.Nowenvironmentalprotectionandsustainabledevelopmenthavebecomethetwogreatestconcernsforthewholeworld.

TypesofPollution

Thechieftypesofenvironmentalpollutionincludeairpollution,waterpollution,soilpollution,pollutioncausedbysolidwasteandhazardouswaste,andnoisepollution.Besides,pesticideshavebeenregardedbymanyenvironmentalistsasatypeofpollution,too.Itisbelievedthatpesticidesarepoisonswhichshouldbeusedasalastresortandifused,thentheyshouldbeusedwithextremecaution.
