后记.1366论文摘要本文所讨论的后现代主义美学是当代美学思潮不可忽视的一部分,构成
了现代美学话语最复杂和最丰富的话语资源。
本文首先论述了后现代美学
所呈现出的与以前美学形态最大的不同:
不再追求统一的美的本源,寻求
对美本质的统一理解,甚至对那种以个体的多样性来指代统一审美归宿的
理解也采取否定态度。
指出后现代主义美学的意义不是在原来美学命题的
指引下得出新的建设性见解,而是要推翻原来的美学范畴和思想模式,这
一思路在当今新的“全球化”政治-经济-意识形态格局下具有着日益显
豁的思想影响力。
在当代中国的文化语境中,后现代美学话语更加显示出
其内在的局限性。
在论文的展开过程中,首先要处理的问题是后现代主义美学对现代审
美中心主义思想倾向的反对。
指出后现代美学在当代思潮的发展中全面反
思了美学思想的内在问题性。
现代主义美学学理上的矛盾性被后现代主义
者认为是现代主义最主要的缺陷,他们认为现代主义的这种构想建立在对
于现实权力结构的“意识形态”意义上的合谋。
现代主义的这种内在矛盾
并不会导致其理论结构的完善和继续发展,反而会限制人们对于现实的真
正理解。
因为现代性审美研究在解决自己所提出的问题的同时以隐而不彰
的方式形成了新的权力压迫和整体性统治。
在后现代美学反对审美现代性
的过程中,可以看到后现代主义美学独有的理论问题性。
后现代主义审美
研究对于审美范畴的处理是放置在了意识形态环境中各思想的问题性联系
之中,将原来孤立的审美范畴变为了意识形态环境的有机组成,以整个思
想、社会环境的内在结构出发来对于感性审美问题进行理解。
同时,对于
后现代主义美学自身,我们也可以以同样的方法将其放置在一定的意识形
态环境之中,这是理解后现代主义各种复杂现象的根本途径。
本文同时举
出索绪尔语言学、弗洛伊德精神分析理论和存在主义这三种当代最主要的
理论形态为例,来说明后现代主义美学在接受这些元理论时所具有的特殊
接受倾向,以此为例可以看出后现代主义美学在当代学术谱系中的地位和
作用。
7本文第二部分讨论了后现代主义美学具体的反审美主义倾向。
从历史
起源的角度对现代审美主义历史起源进行批判性理解,这一部分是在前面
理论批判的基础上进行的历史分析。
指出后现代主义美学对于现代审美主
义历史起源的批判实际上是站在一个意识形态批判的立场上,把对于审美
现代性的理解建立在美学诞生之初的历史条件当中,从历史的角度思考审
美主义的产生和发展。
本文讨论了后现代主义美学反对审美中心论的具体
表现,后现代主义美学对于审美中心论的反对首先从审美问题的外在结构
出发,寻找社会权力结构在审美主义中的体现;其次,后现代主义的理论
倾向导致了对传统哲学话语的消解,而后现代主义美学也以同样的方式对
现代主义美学话语进行了具体的批判;最后后现代主义美学与当代激进社
会理论的联系又为这一批判增添了更多的理论内容。
本文第三章讨论了作为后现代主义美学理论基础的意识形态理论,首
先梳理了意识形态理论的历史源流。
指出从历史起源的角度上讲,意识形
态概念的形成与启蒙运动关系密切,是启蒙运动的产物。
而后,对于马克
思主义从早期创始者到当代西方马克思主义对于意识形态问题的讨论进行
了探讨,同时也涉及到对于当代西方知识社会学对意识形态理论的理解。
意识形态更是后现代美学主要使用的术语,各种后现代理论话语都是围绕
着对特定意识形态现象的理解而展开。
如果说后现代美学要颠覆传统美学
的整个学术结构,首先就是要树立起意识形态分析在整个美学领域中的主
导地位。
因为只有将不同的美学范畴放置在意识形态批判的理解之中才能
构成对这些范畴最强烈的反对。
而当代意识形态理论的新发展为美学中的
意识形态批判提供了重要的理论支持,从当代最全面的意识形态理论表述
中可以看到整个后现代美学的理论特点。
后现代主义美学的形成过程与意
识形态理论在当代理论界不断得以完善和拓展的过程交织在一起,意识形
态理论的研究对象在美学中可以得到最标准和集中的表达。
这种美学与意
识形态问题的勾连关系在美学和意识形态诞生之初就业已形成。
因为意识
形态理论本身就超出了纯粹美学的考察范畴,意识形态批判实际上就是一
种反审美的批判,一切审美特性在意识形态中都被归为虚无。
那么从这个
角度出发也可以从整体上对整个后现代美学的产生机制和话语形态进行研
8究,从而构成对整个后现代主义思潮的理解和判断。
文章最终归结为对整个后现代主义美学的具体局限性的分析,指出后
现代主义美学在运用意识形态批判对于美学理论进行建构的过程中面对着
很多方面的困难:
一、意识形态问题本身的歧义造成了分析上的困难,后
现代美学很难将某种意识形态的批判完全与自身区别开来。
而中国当代文
化建设中很多的意识形态批判也体现出这一特点,一种无休止的意识形态
批判在当代文化理论中逐步成形,而这种批判却不能形成真正的建设性独
创性的力量;二、无穷无尽的理论意识形态消解过程构成了自我指涉的循
环,而美学体系的丰富性并没有因为这种论证的复杂而得到加强。
中国当
代审美文化在一定程度正是体现了这种丰富性的缺失,后现代主义美学在
引进入中国当代文化语境的过程中对此一问题负有责任;三、后现代主义
美学的激进性在意识形态方面没有得到促进,反而更加向他们所反对的方
向发展,即日益成为学院话语的主流和当代新意识形态的共谋性组成部分。
而当代中国文化建设所需要的对于真正具有创造性独创性文化构成的诉求
则因为在接受后现代美学的时候忽略了其新的意识形态特性,造成了较为
严重的后果。

aestheticstheory.Atfirst,thisthesisdiscussedthedifferenceofbetween
post-modernismaestheticsandotheraesthetics:
post-modernismaesthetics
doesn’tsearchtheonenessoforiginofaesthetic,findthecoherence
understandingoftheessenceofaesthetics,andpost-modernismnegativethethoughtthatmultiformityofindividualsubstituteonenessofaestheticsidea.The
thesispointoutthatpost-modernismaestheticsdidnotwanttoconstructnew
aestheticstheorybasedonoldaestheticstheories,anditwantedtooverthrow
theoldcategoryaestheticsandmodelofthought,andthistrendofthoughtshow
itsforceinthecurrentpatternof“global”political-economic-ideologyIntheargumentationofthisthesis,thefirstquestionisthatpost-modernism
aestheticsopposemodernismaesthetics,thethesispointoutthattheimmanent
academicproblematic.Theacademiccontradictionofmodernismaestheticsis
themostimportantquestionintheviewpointofpost-modernist.Theythink
modernismaestheticsconstitutesthepartofrealisticpowerrelationinthe
meaningof“ideology”,andtheimmanentcontradictiondidnotformedthe
perfectanddevelopmentofthemodernismtheoryitself,andonthecontraryit
willrestricttherealunderstandingtoreality.Becausethemodernismaesthetics
researchformedthenewoppressionandintegerdominioninsecludedmethod,
atthesametimetheysettletheirquestions.Intheprocessoftheoppression
betweenpost-modernismandmodernismaesthetics,wecanseethespecial
academicproblematicofpost-modernismaesthetics.Theacademicresearchto
aestheticscategoryofpost-modernismisintherelationsoftheacademic
problematicinideologyenvironment,post-modernismaestheticsthinkisolated
aestheticscategoryasorganicconstructionofideologyenvironment,andfrom
thewholeinherenceconfigurationofthoughtandsocietypost-modernismstudy
thesensibleproblemofaesthetics.Atthesametime,wecanthinkthe10
post-modernismaestheticsinthespecificallyideologyenvironment,itisthe
fundamentalitymethodtounderstandthecomplicatedphenomenaof
post-modernism.ThisthesispointoutSaussurelinguistics,Freud
psychoanalysisandexistentialismasspecificexampleinmodernthought
system,andilluminatethespecificacceptanttendencyofpost-modernism
aesthetics.Hencewecanseetheplaceandfunctionofpost-modernism
aestheticsinthemodernacademicsystemThesecondarypartofthisthesisdiscussthetendencyofanti-aestheticsof
thepost-modernismaesthetics.Itishistoricalanalysisbasedontheacademic
criticism.Wecanpointoutthecriticismofhistoricalanalysisasideological
criticism,post-modernismaestheticsthinkmodernismaestheticsbasedonthe
historicalcondition,andfromhistoricalpointofview,post-modernismthinkthe
originanddevelopmentaesthetics.Thisthesisdiscussthematerialexhibitionof
theoppositionofmodernismaesthetics,Atfirstpost-modernismaesthetics
opposedthemodernismaestheticsfromexteriorstructureoftheproblemofthe
aesthetics,foundthatrepresentationofsocialpowerstructureinmodernism
aesthetics.Secondly,thetheoryofpost-modernismengenderdeconstructionof
traditionalphilosophicaldiscourse,andpost-modernismaestheticscriticizedthe
discourseofmodernismaestheticsinthesamemethod;atlastthiscriticismwas
emphasizedbytherelationbetweenpost-modernismaestheticsandandmodern
radicalsocialtheoryThethirdpartofthisthesisdiscussthetheoryofideologyasthe
foundationofaestheticstheory,researchthehistoricaloriginofideologytheoryWecanseethatthereisaffinitybetweentheformationofconceptionof
ideologyandenlightment,andtheconceptionofideologyisproducetionof
enlightment.Furthermore,thisthesisdebatestheproblemofideologyfromthe
inchoateMarxismtomodernWesternMarxism,andatthesametimediscussthe
theoryofideologyofmodernwesternSociologyofKnowledge.Theconception
ofideologyistheimportanttermofpost-modernismaesthetics,andthe
multifariousdiscourseofpost-modernismtheoryconstitutesunderthe11understandingofspecialideologicalphenomena.Ifpost-modernismaesthetics
wanttooverthrowthewholeacademicsystemoftraditionalaesthetics,itmust
establishthedominantstationofideologicalanalysisinwholeaesthetics
domain,becauseifonlyplacethecategoryofaestheticsinthecriticismof
ideology,post-modernismcanopposethemodernism.Andthatthenew
developmentofmodernideologytheorysustainideologycriticisminaesthetics,
andfromthemodernabundantideologytheorywecanseetheacademic
characteristic.Theprocessofformationofpost-modernismaestheticsandthe
evolutionoftheoryofideologyinmoderntheoriesareinterwove,thestudy
objectoftheoryofideologycanberepresentedinaesthetics.Therelations
betweenaestheticsandideologywereformedinbeginningoftheaestheticsand
theconceptionofideology.Becausethetheoryofideologyitselfgobeyond
researchofpureaesthetics,infactthecriticismofideologyisacriticismofanti-aesthetics,inthecriticismofideologyalloftheaestheticscharacterwere
regardasnothingness,wellthenfromthispointwecanstudythewholestructureofproductionandconfigurationofdiscoursepost-modernism
aestheticsAtlast,thisthesisanalysistheacademicantinomy,pointoutthe
practicalitydifficultyinwhichpost-modernismaestheticsconstitutesthetheory
ofaestheticsbythecriticismofideology.Thedifferentmeaningsofthe
conceptionofideologymakethedifficultyofacademicanalysis,itisdifficulty
todifferentitselffromthespecialcriticismofideology;Thedeconstructionof
academicideologicalanalysisconstitutesacademiccirculation,andtherichness
ofthesystemofaestheticswasnotemphasizedbythecomplexityof
argumentation;Theradicalnessofpost-modernismaestheticsisnotaccelerated
intheaspectofideology,onthecontraryitbecomemainstreamofacademic

对后现代主义美学的探讨是当代中国审美文化建设中非常重要的一个
方面。
基于传统美学话语的不断分裂和演变,后现代美学成为了美学理论
建构中不可忽视的内容。
因为后现代美学更加贴切地指出了审美现象的歧
义性,还审美以更加复杂和丰富的理论表述,所以从很大程度上说后现代
美学成为当代西方主流美学理论的代表。
而中国美学学科在近些年吸收后
现代美学话语营养的同时,渐渐地接受和融会了其理论内核中的部分内容。
但同时因为不自觉的误读和不察,后现代美学中的很多内在矛盾也直接变
成了中国当下文化建设中亟待解决的问题。
反对审美中心主义,是后现代美学重要的理论趋向,对于审美现代性
理论的批判构成了后现代主义美学得以形成的理论框架。
反审美并非反对
一切审美形态,相反,后现代主义美学的反审美中心主义倾向只是试图以
更加全面的方式来重新表述审美问题。
