HarvestandThanksgivingfestivalscanbeveryhappyevents.Peoplearegratefulbecausetheir

foodisgatheredforthewinter,andbecauseaseasonofagriculturalworkisover.InEuropeancountriesitisthecustomtodecoratechurchesandtownhallswithflowersandfruit,andpeoplegettogethertohavemeals.Somepeoplemightwinawardsfortheiranimals,flowers,fruitsandvegetables,likethebiggestwatermelonorthemosthandsomerooster.InChinaandJapantherearemid-autumnfestivals,whenpeopleadmirethemoonandgivegiftofmooncakes.

SpringFestivals

Themostenergeticandimportantfestivalsaretheonesthatlookforwardtotheendofwinterandtothecomingofspring.AttheSpringFestivalinChina,peopleeatdumplings,fishandmeat,andmaygivechildrenluckymoneyintheredpaper.Therearedragondancesandcarnivals,and
