Thestudytested20healthyvolunteersontheirreactiontofearastheywereshownpicturesoffearfulfaces.DrGarfikelsaid,“Thestudyshowedthatfearfulfacesarebetternoticedwhentheheartispumpingthanwhenitisrelaxed.Thusourheartscanalsoaffectwhatweseeandwhatwedon'tsee—andguidewhetherweseefear.”
