扩展小知识,“Christmas”的简写应该是“Xmas”，“Xmas”是错误的写法。

那一小撇原来是“缩写”的意思，例如“donot”变成“dont”，大家都知道；但“Xmas”是“Christmas”的缩写吗？

看起来似乎就是，可是并不尽然。

那个“X”就是“Christ”（基督）的缩写，典故是来自希腊字母“X”，也就是希腊字“Christos”（英语译音）的第一个字母，所以被用来代表“基督”。

所以，“Christmas”的简写应该是“Xmas”（没有那一小撇）；如果有的话，还原之后就变成“Christmas”了。
