图中的四联排别墅是由Lischer以及他的搭档Planer共同设计的，坐落在瑞士卢塞恩的环城河右岸，这是这一地区位置最优越的住宅小区之一。

南边的阳光照在附近的湖泊上，湖面反射的柔和的光映入室内，真是一种享受。

窗外是城市的湖泊、环城河以及阿尔卑斯山脉，景色是这个四联排别墅的最大卖点。

别墅通体采用了均匀的环保材料，并且应政府响应，别墅并没有建得那么大，只是在湖的周围小规模地发展。

住户们每天步行就可以达到旁边的Adligenswilerstrasse花园。

这个花园是设计在山坡上的开放的草地，内有浓密的灌木丛，住在别墅中会感觉花园内的花花草草都是自家的。

建筑的选址是在一个水平的地面上，因此它们的结构出人意料的简单。

房子使用固体黄侏罗纪石灰岩为基本材料，同样，屋顶上也是相同的材料。

这种天然石材是在一个干枯的湖底发现的，据了解，这里的泥土沉淀了1.5亿年才形成这样的石材。

他们是一种同木材一样环保，但比木材更加结实耐用的材料。

ThefourtownhousesarelocatedontherightbankofthecityofLucerne,aprimelocationinaresidentialdistrict.Thesouthernsitereceivesanidealamountofsunlightandanexcellentviewofthenearbylake,thecityandtheAlps.

Thefourtownhouses’uniformmaterialandvolumerespondtothesurroundingsmall-scaledevelopment.Theyfollowtheorientationoftheseawardslopeandtheadjacentstreetsandbuildings.Despitetheproximityofthetownhouses,thevolumesareplacedatdifferentpositionsandheightstoeachother,creatingagreatersenseofprivacyfortheinhabitants.

ThetownhousesarewithinwalkingdistanceoftheAdligenswilerstrassegarden.Thedesignoftheareaontheslopesandtheopenmeadow,borderedbydensebushesandstrategicallyplacedshrubs,isbasedontheoriginalvilla’sgarden.

Becausebuildingsmayonlybeononeleveloftheterrain,thebuildingshavesurprisinglysimpleforms.ThehousesarebuiltofsolidyellowJurassiclimestone.Theroofiscoveredwithplatesofthesamematerial.Thisnaturalstoneemergedabout150millionyearsagoasalagoonsediment;itsuseunderscoreshowthetownhousesareinclosedialoguewiththehistoricfabricoftheirenvironment.
