   Onedaymanyyearslater,Luca,alreadyveryold,wasspeakingwithabrilliantyoungmannamedRoberts,whohadwrittentohim,askinghimtojointhegroup.LucastartedtellingthemanofthewonderfulIslandofInventions,andofhowhewassurethatsomedaytheywouldreceiveaninvitation.Surprised,theyounginventorinterrupted:
