Whyismetalcontrolimportant?

为什么金属控制很重要？

Primark/Penneyshaveadutytoitscustomerstoprovidesafe,qualityproducts.ThisdutyisdrawnbothfromourcompanyvaluesandfromEUlegislation.

Primark/Penneys有责任为其顾客提供安全、合格的产品。

EUlawsstipulatethatpoorqualityandsafetyofproductssoldinourstorescouldresultinseriouslegalactionagainstthecompany.TheConsumerProtectionAct1987makesitacriminaloffencetosupplyconsumergoodsthatfailtocomplywithgeneralsafetyregulations（GeneralProductSafetyRegulations1994）.

欧盟法律规定，我们商场销售的不合格产品（在质量和安全上）将给公司造成严重的法律后果。

1987年的消费者保护法规定，供应消费者货物而不能遵守普通安全法规是一种刑事犯罪（普通产品安全法规1994）

Thismeansthatanykindofcontaminationofourproductswhichposesarisktoourcustomers'safetycomipletelyunacceptable.Wehavethereforeproducedthisguideregardingsafeworkingpracticesandproceduresformetalcontroltohelpyoutoeliminatetheriskofmetalcontamination.

Whatareasdoesmetalcontrolcover?

Allworkersinthemanufacturingunitmustbeproperlytrainedinorderforthemetalcontrolpolicytobeeffective.Theimportanceoftrainingcannotbeunderestimated.Aprocedureonpapermeansnothingunlessitiscarriedoutcorrectlyinpractice.Allnewstaffmustbetrainedonmetalcontrolprocedures.Itmustbepartofyourinductiontrainingprogrammeandworkersmustbeperiodicallyremindedofthesepolicies.
