Burnems’loveofpoetrybeganatanearlyagewhenhewasstrugglingagainstdepression.HisEnglishteacherrecommendedhimtoreadpoetry,whichlaterbroughthimapeacefulmentalstateandhelpedhimrecoverfromdepression.Hesoondecidedthatpoetrywassomethinghewouldrunafterforhislifetime.“Peoplegravitatetopoetrybecausetheycanfindthemselvesinthepoems,”hesays.“Itallowsreaderstofeeltheemotionalpartofourexperiences.”
