AnorganisedportfolioofevidenceshouldbegatheredoveranextendedperiodoftimeinordertodemonstratecompetenceintheconfigurationandadministrationofInternetdomainnamesystems.Thisshouldincludeannotateddetailsofconfigurationchanges（preferablywithversioncontrolsubsystemsinuse）,copiesofreports,logfiles,errorsituations,securityitemsandresourcesused–ineffect,acompletehistoryoftheserviceprovisionduringthecandidate’stenureofit.

Youmustproduceanorganisedportfolioofevidence,gatheredoveranextendedperiodoftimeinordertodemonstratecompetenceinconfiguringandadministeringadomainnamesystem,eg:

BIND（minimumversion9）.Thisshouldincludeannotateddetailsofconfigurationchanges（preferablywithversioncontrolsubsystemsinuse）,copiesofreports,logfiles,errorsituations,securityitemsandresourcesused–ineffect,acompletehistoryoftheserviceprovisionduringyourtenureofit.Youshouldgatherinformationfromamultitudeofsourcesincludingtechnicalreferencemanuals,newsgroups,vendor’son-linesupportsites,etc.

Non-trivialconfigurationexamplesinclude:

∙Set-upsystemaccountsforusebytheservice,（eg:

specificserviceaccount,maillistowner）

∙Set-upandmaintenanceofservice’suseraccounts,（ie:

usersandgroupsnotmaintainedwithintheexistingdomain）
