Somanymigrantsleavetheirhomeslookingforworktheyoverburdentherailsystem.IntheHunanprovince,52peopleweretrampledtodeathinthelate1990swhen10,000migrantswereherdedontoafreighttrain.Tostemtheflowofmigrants,officialsinHunanandSichuanhaveplacedrestrictionsontheuseoftrainsandbusesbyruralpeople.
