ThisdocumentdescribesthePhotoModeler,PhotoModelerScannerandPhotoModelerMotionproducts.PhotoModeler isaWindowsprogramthathelpsyouextractmeasurementsand3Dmodelsfromphotographs.Byusingacameraasaninputdevice,PhotoModelerletsyoucaptureaccuratedetailinashorttime.
PhotoModelerScannerhasallthecapabilitiesofPhotoModelerplustheabilitytoscansurfacestoextractdensepointclouds. SeeDenseSurfaceModeling/PhotoModelerScannerforinformationonthisproduct.
PhotoModelerMotionhasallthecapabilitiesofPhotoModelerScannerplustheabilitytomodelanobjectovertime. SeeTime-basedMeasurement/PhotoModelerMotionformoreinformation.
“PhotoModeler”willbeusedinthisdocumentinterchangablytorefertoboththePhotoModer,PhotoModelerScanner,andPhotoModelerMotionproducts.
TousePhotoModeler,oneormorephotographsofasceneoranobjectaretaken.Thephotographsaredisplayedonscreenandtheoperatormarkseachphotographwiththemouse,tracingandtaggingfeaturesofinterest.PhotoModelerthencombinesthedataandlocatesthemarkedfeaturesinthreedimensions.Themarksbecomeaccuratelymeasuredpoints,lines,curves,cylindersorsurfacesinasingle,unified3Dspace.Theresultisa3DmodelthatcanbetransferredtoanygraphicsorCADprogram.

PhotoModelerActivation
ActivationisasetofsimpleandquickstepstakenafterprograminstallationinordertoactivateyourMaintenanceSubscriptionandbeginusingPhotoModeler.Ifyou'veusedMicrosoftWindows,MicrosoftOfficeormanyoftheAdobeproductsyouhavealreadyusedasimilaractivationsystem.
WhenPhotoModelerisactivatedonline,itcontactsacentralserverovertheinternetto'activate'yoursoftwareandMaintenanceSubscriptionandtieittotheprovidedactivationcode（whichisprintedontheboxandCDcaselabels,orprovidedbyEosoryourdealerbyemail）.
Oursystemdoestieyourlicensepermanentlytoyourcomputerhardwarebutithasbuilt-intoleranceforchangestoyourmachine,andyoushouldhavenoproblemre-activatingyoursoftwareafterreformattingyourharddrive,afterupgradinghardwarecomponentsinyourcomputer,orwhenyoumoveyoursoftwaretoanewcomputer.
ThesimplestmethodofActivation,re-activationordeactivationrequiresanInternetconnection.ThisInternetconnectioncanbeonacomputerthatisdifferentthanthecomputeronwhichPhotoModelerisinstalled. Youcanalso'manually'activatePhotoModelerbygettingspecialcodesoverthephoneorviaemailfromPhotoModelerTechnicalSupport.
WhenyoufirstlaunchPhotoModelerwhileinEvaluationorDemomode,theWelcometoPhotoModelerDialogwillappear.
YoucancarryoutvariousLicensingtasks（egactivation,licensemoveandlicensedeactivation）atanytimeusingtheLicenseManagementDialog,accessiblefromtheOptionsmenu. ThisisalsowhereyouaccesstheManualActivationtoolsifyouneedtodoanofflineactivation（withoutconnectingtotheinternet）.
Note:
IfatsomepointafteractivationyouwouldliketoinstallPhotoModeleronadifferentcomputer,youmustfirstmoveyourlicenseoffoftheactivatedcomputer,beforeyouuninstall.Theuninstallprocessdoesnotde-activateyourlicense.SeetheLicenseManagementDialogformoreinformationonmovingyourlicense.
