Asforthenextstep,theFifthPlenarySessionofthe19thCentralCommitteeoftheCommunistPartyofChina（中国共产党第十九届五中全会）,whichendedonOct29,discussedthe14thFive-YearPlanandsetlong-termgoalsforChinathrough2035. 

By2035,Chinawillensurecommonprosperity（共同富裕）.Everyonewillbeabletoenjoyequalbasicpublicservices.Chinawillmaketechnologicalbreakthroughs（突破）inkeyareasandbecomeagloballeaderininnovation（创新）.ItwillsupportthebuildingofinternationalscienceandtechnologyinnovationcentersinBeijing,ShanghaiandtheGuangdong-HongKong-MacaoGreaterBayArea.

Theall-arounddevelopmentofstudentshasbeenafocusofChina’seducationsystem.In2020,thecountrytookfurtheraction. 

OnOct16,theMinistryofEducation（MOE）announcedthatitwouldaddfinearts（艺术）testingtoallhighschoolentranceexamsby2022,includingmusic,painting,calligraphy（书法）,dance,dramaandopera.It’sexpectedtohelpstudentslearntoenjoyartisticbeautyandimprovetheirmentalhealth. 

TheMOEalsosaidthatChinawillgraduallyincreasescoresonthephysical exercisetesttothesamelevelasthoseofChinese,mathandEnglishonhighschoolentranceexams. 

Toimprovestudents’abilitytothinklogically（有逻辑地）andsolveproblems,theMOEsaidonDec9thatChinaplanstoincludecomputercoding（编程）incurricula（课程）forprimaryandmiddleschoolstudents.

Amonthlater,ChinasuccessfullylauncheditsMarsprobeTianwen1fromHainanprovinceonJuly23.It’sChina’sfirstindependentMarsmission.

OnNov24,ChinalaunchedtheChang’e5lunarprobe（月球探测器）,whichreturnedtoEarth23dayslater,bringingback1.7kgofrockandsoilsamples（样本）fromthemoon.Itwastheworld’sfirstlunarreturnmissionin44yearsandmadeChinathethirdcountrytobringbackmoonsamplesaftertheUSandtheformerSovietUnion（前苏联）.
