II.SOCIALSOFTWAREOVERVIEW

SocialSoftware（SS）,aresultofthesocializationofsoftware,hasalwaysbeenahottopicsince2002.Socialsoftwareisnormallyappliedtoarangeofweb-enabledsoftwareprograms.Theprogramsusuallyallowuserstointeract,communicateandshareinformationwithotherusers.UsersusetheSSasacommunicationmeanstoimprovetheirsocialrelationship,meanwhiletheyconsiderthenon-socialsoftwareasanITtoolratherthanacommunicationmeans.Therefore,SSdistinguishesitselffromthenon-SSbythefollowingpoints:

Actually,beforeitswidelyrecognized,SShasalreadybeenwidelyusedwiththedevelopmentoftheInternet.Forexample,E-mailandInstantMessageareallearlySS.ButtheseSShavestraightforwardaims,mainlyoncommunication.Recently,astheideaofSSbecomesclearerandtheInternetgrowsrapidly,SSreachesitsprimetime.Manynewmulti-functionalSS,especiallythoseworkingonspreading,communicatingandsharingofknowledge,suchasBLOG,WIKIetc.,enterthestage.BasedonthemissionandnewdevelopmentofSS.

BLOGisakindofnetworkpublicationandcommunicationformofpersonalinformationandthoughtsthatispresentedchronologicallyandalsoitisfrequentlyupdated.Itisanewchanneltopostnetworkinformationandsimpletouse,whichaccountsforitspopularity.AgreatnumberofBLOGGERS（ThatisBLOGwriter）createabundantInternetinformationspontaneously.BLOGmakesitmoreconvenientforuserstopostpersonalinformationanditisofgreatsignificanceonexploringandsharingimplicitknowledge.
