当然也不可忽略的就是围绕主人公小雨果冒险的最重要的人物——乔治.梅里埃。

这位魔术师，利用自己的魔术经历，将电影拍成一部部魔幻色彩的短片，例如最著名的《月球旅行记》，利用各种拼贴、叠影、重复曝光等手法来创造一部部喜闻乐见的梦幻故事，可见梅里埃的想象空间是多大，只有心里充满童心的、充满想象的人才能创造出诸如火箭射中月球的影片片段。

可以说他是默片时代真正的艺术创造者，而格里菲斯是讲默片故事更完善。

梦想的翅膀在每个人的心里，在每个人的童年时代都存在着，只是长大后我们听不到自己内心最深处的声音，大大的梦想也已被现实而磨灭了，就如《北极特快列车》里的小男孩能听到铃声，而大人却早已听不到那清脆悦耳的铃声了。

没有梦想的生活着，是很多人的生活写照，没有面包哪有力气去梦想，也只能虚幻地想象一会，之后还是要回到现实社会做一个本分的社会人。

电影是美好的，能让人暂时沉浸在一两个小时的荧幕里，忘却烦恼，享受电影带给我们的视觉刺激。

在观看雨果的冒险经历时，同时也在感受电影初期的默片带给我们的怀旧情调，这也是我当初学电影时最先接触的一些影视知识，也是从那时种下了对电影的美好想象的种子，张开稚嫩的翅膀，梦想着终有一天翅膀会变得雄壮。

梦想自己毕业后能从事与电影有关的工作，甚至是更大的野心，当导演。

回忆年少轻狂时的我，觉得好笑，又觉得无奈。

影片的设定是1931年的巴黎。

开片便是一组目不暇接的巴黎镜头，接着，人们的视线随镜头猛地落到一个繁忙的火车站上，游走于两辆蒸汽火车间狭窄的站台，掠过拥挤的大厅，最终停在雨果身上。

巨大的时钟后面，12岁的少年正透过钟面上的4字窥视着外面的世界。

从过世的父亲身上，雨果（亚撒.巴特菲尔德饰）继承了修补机械的爱好，不久前，他刚刚从酒鬼叔叔那里接手了一份工作——维修车站的所有大钟。

他住在车站不为人知的通道里，每天修着一个19世纪的机器人。

他是一个聪明的“狄更斯式”孤儿，一缕善意的“歌剧魅影”，似卡西莫多般孤独，与希区柯克（Hitchcock）的《后窗》（“RearWindow”）里的摄影师一样，偷偷注视着这个世界。

命运把他带到这里，又把他推进了一个坏脾气老人的世界。

乔治斯（Georges）（本.金斯利BenKingsley饰）老人在车站开着一家老店，卖玩具修机械，他12岁的教女伊莎贝拉（Isabelle）在店里帮忙。

有一天，雨果被乔治斯喊做小偷并没收了他珍贵的画册，两人的生命有了交集。

随后，雨果在伊莎贝拉的帮助下拿回了画册，而且，他发现伊莎贝拉被禁止看电影，作为回报，雨果带着伊莎贝拉开始了一次“冒险”。

一系列老电影正在上映，他们去看了一系列无声电影。

伊莎贝拉被震撼了。

　　好学的伊莎贝拉崇拜着狄更斯，而接踵而来的一系列错综复杂的剧情，与狄更斯的小说有着异曲同工之妙，两个孩子开始涉足一段神秘的往事。
