名词性从句的概念
名词性从句相当于名词，可分别作主句的主语、表语、宾语和同位语。
因此，名词性从句可分为主语从句、表语从句、宾语从句和同位语从句。
（一）主语从句
1、主语从句在复合句中作主语。
Whowillgoisnotimportant.
Thathesuddenlyfellilllastweekmadeussurprised.
2、用it作形式主语，主语从句放在句末。
Itdoesn’tmattersomuchwhetheryouwillcomeornot.
It’sapitythatyoucan’tcome.
It’snotclearwhyhebehavedlikethat.
It’sstrangethatheshouldinvitehertohisparty.
It’sreportedthat10moreminerswererescued.
It’snotyetdecidedwhenandwherethetestwillbegiven.

（二）表语从句
1、表语从句在复合句中作表语，位于系动词之后。
Thequestionwaswhocouldgothere.
Myideais（that）wecangetmorecomradestohelpinthework.
Theproblemiswhetherweshouldtaketheiradvice.
Itlooksasifitisgoingtorain.
2、why、where、because、as引导表语从句
That’swhyweputoffthemeeting.
Thingswerenotastheyseemedtobe.
3、Thereasonwhyhecouldn’tgototheFilmAcademywas_____hisgradesweretoolow.
（三）宾语从句
1、宾语从句在复合句中作宾语。
引导宾语从句的连词that一般可省略。
Ihope（that）everythingisallright.
2、引导宾语从句的that一般可以省略，但如果复合句中含2个或2个以上的宾语从句，则只有第一个that可以省略。
Scientistsknow（that）theirjobisneverfinishedandthateventhebesttheorycanturnouttobewrong.
3、whether与if都可以引导宾语从句，常可互换。
但以下情况只能用whether。
（1）介词后的宾语从句要用whether引导
（2）whether可与不定式连用
（3）whether也可引导主语从句、表语从句、同位语从句、让步状语从句，以上从句中均不能将whether换成if
（4）宾语从句中的whether与ornot直接连用
（5）宾语从句放在句首。

（四）同位语从句
1.同位语从句在句中作某一名词的同位语，一般位于该名词之后，说明该名词的具体内容。

Ihavesomedoubtwhethertheycansupportthemselves.
2、后接同位语从句的名词一般是抽象名词，如：
news,information,word,chance,possibility,fact,problem,doubt,idea,opinion,suggestion,advice,thought,hope,reply,report,belief,promise,story,fear等。
关联词一般用that、when、why、where、how，几乎没有连接代词连接主句和从句。
idea的连词比较灵活。

（五）名词性从句的关联词分类：
1．从属连词：
that,whether,if,asif
that无词义，在从句中不担任成分，有时可省略；
if（whether）,asif虽有含义，但在从句中不担任成分。

2．连接代词：
who,whom,whose,what,which,whoever,whomever,whatever,whichever
连接代词有含义，在从句中担任成分，如主语、表语、宾语或定语等。

Whoeverbreaksthelawshouldbepunished.
3．连接副词：
when,where,why,how,whenever,wherever,however
连接副词有含义，在从句中担任成分，作状语。
