SomepeopleareoftheopinionthatthespringfestivalholidayshouldlastuntiltheLanternFestival,atotalof15days.Theypointoutthatalongerholidaywouldmakeitpossibleformorepeopletoreturntotheirhometownstocelebratethefestivalwiththeirfamilies.Inaddition,inatimewhenmanyyoungpeopleareturningtoWesternholidays,weshouldbeemphasizingourChinesetraditionstostrengthenourculturaltieswitheachother.

Othersthinkthatthereisnoneedtoextendtheholiday.Theypointoutthattheyearisalreadyfullofnationalholidays;toextendtheSpringFestivalholidayto15dayswouldresultingreatfinanciallossforethewholecountry.Thereisnoreason,intheiropinion,whypeoplecannotworkwhilestillcelebratinguntiltheLanternFestival.

Inmyopinion,inthistimeofweakeningculturalandfamilyties,lengtheningtheSpringFestivalholidayto15dayswouldbewise.ThelongerholidaywouldgiveusChinesemoretimetorememberandenjoyourculturaltraditionsandstrengthenfamilyrelationships,andthusstrengthenourentirecountry.

  Tomakelivelihoodsmorelively,WrzesniewskiandhercolleaguesJaneDuttonandJustinBerghavedevelopedamethodologytheycalljob-crafting.They’reworkingwithFortune500companies,smallerfirmsandbusinessschoolstochangethewayAmericansthinkaboutwork.Theideaistomakealljobs--evenmundane(平凡的)ones---moremeaningfulbyempoweringemployeestobrainstormandimplementsubtlebutsignificantworkplaceadjustments.
