Vesseloperationsshouldestablish,monitorandmaintainallplanningandoperationalproceduresforcriticalactivitiesthatincludemooring,lifting,cargoandballastingoperationsandtheprovisionofsafeaccess,andensurethattheseproceduresareeffectivelyimplemented.

Systemsandprocedures

Shore-basedmanagersshouldestablishprocedurestoensurethat:

∙Mooringoperationsareproperlyplannedandexecutedandthatmooringentegrityismonitored

∙allcargoandballastoperations,includingcontingencymeasures,arethoroughlyandsequentiallyplanned.

∙helideckoperationsareeffectivelycontrolledinaccordancewithacceptedindustrypractices
