Nowadays,studentsattachlessimportancetothespellingofwordsintheprocessofEnglishstudy.Thisphenomenongreatlyinfluencesstudents’writingandbringsonworriesamongteachers.

Therearepossiblythreereasonscontributingtothisphenomenon.First,exam-orientededucationmakesthestudentspaylessattentiontospelling.Second,someteachersshouldalsoberesponsibleforitbecausetheydon’temphasizetheimportanceofspellingduringteaching.Lastbutnotleast,somestudentsaretoolazytorecitewords.

SincespellingisoneofthemostimportantfactorsinEnglishstudy,dueattentionshouldbegiventoit.Asforme,Ithink,first,examsshouldbemodifiedtoaddsomefactorsintoit,whichwouldhelpstudentspaymoreattentiontospelling.Then,schoolsshouldalsoseteffectivemechanismstohelpteachersaswellasthestudentstorealizetheimportance.Finally,forstudentsthemselves,theycan,throughotherways,makethembeinterestedinwordspelling.Onlybythesecanwesurlyrealizetheimportanceofspellingandmakeimprovement.

“Greencampus”is,tosomeextent,arelativelynewconcepttous.Itnotonlymeanscreatingagreenenvironmentoncampus,butalsoreferstothatthestudentsshouldbeeducatedandhaveanenvironmentalsenseintheirmind.Ofcourse,thisconceptisveryimportantforthestudentsbecauseitsetsgoalstowardthefutureoftheworld.

Theyounggenerationisundertheburdenofsevereenvironmentalproblemsandthehopesofenvironmentalimprovementarelyinginthem.Therefore,campusplaysamoreimportantroleineducatingtheyounggeneration.Thecreationof“Greencampus”willgreatlystimulatestudentstotakepartinvariousenvironmentalprotectionactivities;

mostimportantly,studentswillbeeducatedtotakeenvironmentalproblemsseriouslyastheirownmissionandresponsibility.Undersuchstimulations,studentsmaygraspthechancetolearneverynecessarycoursefortheharmoniousandsustainabledevelopmentoftheworld.

Tobring“greencampus”toitsfullplay,effectivemeasuresshouldbetaken.First,basedonitseducationfunction,campusshouldbringthetheoryof“sustainabledevelopment”intoclassrooms,setenvironmentalmanagementrulesandconductenvironmentaleducationactivities.Second,campusalsoneedstostrengthenitstieswiththesociety,triestocommunicatewithparentsandexpertssoastoensurethatstudentscouldhaveabetterparticipationinthepracticalactivities.Onlybytheco-effortsofthewholesocietycould“greencampus”worksmoothlyandbringbenefittopeople’swell-beings.

　　Nowadays,alotofmuseumsopentothepublicforfree,andalotofpeopleareattractedtogothere.However,italsobroughtsomeunexpectedproblems.

　　Atpresent,peoplecangetknowledgefrommanywayslikelibraries,internet,andothersources.However,thereisalsomuchinformationthatpeoplecannotgetfromtheaboveways.Freeadmissionmuseumssupplymorechancesforthepublictogetknowledgethatcannotbeeasilyaccessed.Peoplecanlearnmorethingsabouthistory,art,scienceandsoon.Although,thiskindofpolicybroughtmuchconveniencetothepublic,italsocausedsomeproblems.Forexample,beggarsandshabby-dressedpeoplemayenterthemuseumsandcausebadreputationamongthepublic;

alongwiththeincreasingnumberofpeoplegettingintomuseums,therewillbenoenoughserviceestablishmentstomeettherequirements;

besides,underthepolicyoffreeadmission,theculturalrelicsdisplayedtheremaybeinevitablybrokenordamagedbythecrowds.Moreover,thecrowdsinthemuseumsmayalsocausesecurityproblems.

　　Inmyopinion,freeadmissionisagoodpolicyforthepublic,anditbringsthepublicmuchconvenience.But,weshouldalsotakepossiblemeasurestoprotecttheculturalrelicsandmaintaintheorderofspot.Besides,wecanalsotakethepolicyofgivingfreeadmissionfirsttochildren,thentotheretiredperson,andlasttothepublic.Ithink,thismayhelptosolvetheproblems.

Nowadayswemayfindourselvessurroundedbyaseaofdisposableplasticbags.Andrecentlytheproblemsofusingdisposableplasticbagshavebeenbroughtintopeople’sfocus.

　　Firstofall,theuseofdisposableplasticbagscausesirreversibleharmtoourenvironment.Asthesebagsarenotbiodegradable,theyareblockingthedrainagesystemandcausingwaterpollution.

　　What’smore,customersusingdisposableplasticbagsmaythinkthattheyareofgreatconvenience.Butwhattheydon’tquiterealizeisthattherewillberemarkablenegativeimpactonourhealth.Andsometimescarelessdisposalofthesebagsmayevenpoisonsomeinnocentanimals.

　　Inviewoftheseverityofthisissue,effectivemeasureshavebeentakeninourcountry.Therehasbeenastrictlimitontheusingofdisposableplasticbagsinsupermarkets,whichnotonlyenhancespeople’sawarenessonenvironmentalprotectionbutalsocutsdownthecostoftherunningofsupermarkets.

Suchactivitiesarebeneficialaswellasharmfultousifundertakeninappropriately.Ononehand,recreationalactivitiescanhelpustonotonlybuildourbodyandmindbutalsoimproveourcommunicationandunderstandingwithfriendsbecausemostoftheseactivitiesaredonewithothers.Ontheotherhand,ifwespendtoomuchtimeonsinging,dancingorothergames,wemightfailtoconcentrateonourdutiessuchasstudyingourworking,whichinturnmayleadtofurtherconsequences.

AsfarasI’mconcerned,recreationalactivitiesshouldbedonewithinacertainlimitsothatwecankeepaproperbalancebetweenrecreationandstudyingorworkinglife.

Onthewhole,thephenomenonisoneoftheresultsofmulti-demandoftheemploymentmarket.Thereisstillalongwayforustoimprovetheelectiveitself,butasastudentmyself,Ifinditrewardingandinteresting.
