WhiletheRubyRomannameisusedtodescribeatypeofgrapes,everybunchmustmeetverystrictstandards.Forexample,everygrapeinthebunchmustweighatleast20gramsandhaveasugarcontentofatleast18percent.ThereisalsoaPremiumclassofRubyRomangrapes—eachgrapemustweighover30grams,andthewholebunchmustbeatleast700gramsheavy.

MostbunchesofRubyRomangrapesaresoldthroughauctions(拍卖),butPremiumRubyRoseareextremelydifficulttofind.Forexample,in2010,onlysixbunchesofgrapeswerecertifiedPremium,andin2011nobunchesqualifiedforit.
