Withthedevelopmentofsociety,peoplebecomemoreandmorecareabouteducation.E-education,whichmainlyprovidesknowledgetopeopleviaelectricequipment,comesintovogueanditdoeshavesomeeffects.PeoplewhoarealwayslookingaheadthinkthatE-educationwillreplacethetraditionalon-siteeducation.AsfarasIamconcerned,e-educationcannotbethemaintrendinChina.

ThefirstproblemaboutE-educationisthatoureconomicstrengthcannotaffordenoughe-educationequipment.Weallknowthatifwewanttocarryone-education,weneedcomputers,TVsetsandothermedia.Thosedeviceallneedmoney.AccordingtotherecentreportfromtheNPC(theNationalPeople'sCongress)andCPPCC(ChinesePeople'sPoliticalConsultativeConference),thefinancefundsofeducationwillaccountfor4%ofthetotalGDP(grossdomesticproduct)thisyear.Althoughitisalargenumberofmoney,therearestillmanydifficultiesinfrontofeducation.(SaidbyChenMian,aprofessorofChinaUniversityofPetroleum).Sowecanseeourfinancialpowerisnotsuitableforcarryingonsucheducationsystem.Besides,inmostruralareas,conditionsarenotgoodevenroadshavenotbeenbuiltinsomemountainousareas,wecannothelpthinkinghowcanthoseequipmentworkwellthere.Afullrangeofe-educationpromotionisnotpractical.

Besides,noonecanguaranteetherealeffectofE-education.LearnersstudybythemselvesthroughInternet.What’stheirdailybehavior?

What’stheirrealactionaboutstudy?

Weknownothingaboutthem.Somepeoplegiveexplanation,forthosewhoaretooshytoexpressthemselvesintraditioneducationwayswillfindaneasyenvironmenttostudyandgetgreatimprovement.Infact,thetruthisnotlikethat.Somanyattractivethingsareavailableforpeoplewhoarelearningthroughelectricequipment.Theymayjustchatwithfriends,watchvideosorplaygames.Letmegiveanexample.Iknowthatinourschool,allthefreshmenhavetheEnglishlisteningclasswhichrequiresthemtospendtwohoursEnglishlistening.IfeelcheerfulaboutthisarrangementuntilIknowthetruth.StudentsseemtolistentothosematerialsbuttheyplaygamesatthesametimeontheInternetinsteadofstudyhard.Thedatashowtheydostudyfortwohours,butwhat’stheeffect?

Theylearnnothingbutgames.Fromthem,wecanseethate-educationdependsonself-discipline.Eventhecollegestudentscan’tcontrolthemselves,howaboutthoseyoungstudents?

Despiteofthose,peoplewhoholdonthate-educationisthemaintrendinthefuture;theythinkthattraditionaleducationisoutofdate.Weneedtechnology;weneedinnovation.That’strue.However,wemustadmitthatface-tofaceeducationgivechancesforstudentstogettimelyguideandshareideaswitheachother.Whatotherssaymayinspireustocomeupwithnewideaswhileitalsoteachesushowtocooperatewitheachother.Inthemodernsociety,wealwaysneedothers’cooperationtocompleteprojects.Thosehelpusrealizeunity.

Aboveall,IthinkthatinChina,e-educationcannotbethemaintrend.Althoughitismoreadvancedthantraditionalways,weshouldmakechoiceaccordingtoourrealsituation.WhilewecannotaffordtheE-education,weshouldmakebetteruseoftraditionaleducationalways.Ibelievethatthemostimportantelementsinstudyareourpositivityandinitiative.
