Founctions
过去分词作宾补用法归纳
一、能够接过去分词作宾补的词大致有以下四类:
1.表示感觉或心理状态的动词。
如:
see,watch,observe,lookat,hear,listento,feel,notice,think等。
①IheardthesongsunginEnglish.我听到有人用英语唱过这首
歌。
②Hefoundhishometowngreatlychanged.他发现他的家乡变化很大。
2.表示“致使”意义的动词。
如:
have,make,get,keep,leave等。
I’llhavemyhaircuttomorrow.明天我要理发。
③Hegothistoothpulledoutyesterday.他昨天把牙拔
了。
④Don’tleavethosethingsundone.要把那些事情做完。
3.表示“希望”、“要求”意义的动词。
如:
like,order,want,wish等。
⑤Iwouldlikethismattersettledatonce.我希望此事立刻得到解决。
⑥Iwishmyhomeworkfinished
beforefiveo’clock.我希望5点前完成我的作业。
+宾语+过去分词,过去分词与宾语之间是动宾关系。
Withmanybrightly-colouredflowersplantedaroundthebuilding,hishouselookslikeabeautifulgarden.

二、过去分词作宾补表示的意义。
1.过去分词作宾补表示被动关系,其动作先于谓语动作。
如例句①,过去分词sung的动作显然先于谓语动作heard;例句②,过去分词changed的动作显然先于谓语动作
found。
2.过去分词作宾补时,过去分词所表示的动作一定和宾语有逻辑上的动宾关系。
如例句③,动宾关系是pullouthistooth;例句⑤,动宾关系是settlethismatter。
三、过去分词作宾补时,要注意几种情况。
1.使役动词have接过去分词作宾补有两种情况。
第一、过去分词所表示的动作由他人完成。
如:
Hehadhismoneystolen.他的钱被偷了。
(被别人偷去了)
第二、过去分词所表示的动作由句中的主语所经历。
如:
Hehadhislegbroken.他的腿摔断了。
(自己的经历)
过去分词做状语用法归纳
过去分词或过去分词短语作状语时,表示被动和完成,在句子中一般可以作时间、原因等。
1.时间状语
Toldthathismotherwasill,LiLeihurriedhomequickly.李蕾得知母亲生病了时,马上赶回了家。
Seenfromthemoon,theearthlooksgreen.从月亮上看时,地球是绿色。
2.原因状语
Brokendownonthehighway,hiscarwascarriedawaybythepolice.由于他的车在高速公路上坏了,于是被警察拖走了。
Satisfiedwithwhathedid,theteacherpraisedhiminclass.由于老师对他所做的事情很满意,于是在班上表扬了他。
3.条件状语
Givenafewminutes,I’llfinishit.再给几分钟的时间,我就会完成了。
Comparedwithyou,Istillhavealongwaytogo.跟你比较起来,我还差得很远呢。
4.让步状语
Explainedahundredtimes,hestillcan’tunderstandit.即使给他解释一百篇,她还是不会明白。
Trainedtenhoursaday,hewillstillbeafool.即使每天训练十个小时,他也还会是个傻瓜。
5.结果状语
Hefelloffatalltree,hislegbroken.他从树上摔了下来,腿摔断了。
Thecupfelldowntotheground,broken.茶杯掉到了地上,破碎了。
注意:
一般来说,不论是动词不定式作状语、-ing分词做状语,还是动词的过去分词作状语,其逻辑主语必须是句子的主语。
过去分词做定语用法归纳
1、前置定语
单个的过去分词作定语,通常放在被修饰的名词之前,表示被动和完成意义。
A类:
被动意义:
anhonoredguest一位受尊敬的客人
Theinjuredworkersarenowbeingtakengoodcareofinthehospital.受伤的工人现正在医院受到良好的照料。
B类:
完成意义:
aretiredteacher一位退休的教师
Theyarecleaningthefallenleavesintheyard.他们正在打扫院子里的落叶。
2、后置定语
过去分词短语作定语时,通常放在被修饰的名词之后,它的作用相当于一个定语从句。
如:
Thiswillbethebestnovelofitskindeverwritten(=thathaseverbeenwritten).这将是这类小说中写得最好的
Whoweretheso-calledguestsinvited(=whohadbeeninvited)toyourpartylastnight?
昨晚被邀请参加你的晚会的那些所谓的客人是谁呀?
过去分词作表语用法归纳
1.过去分词放在系动词的后面作表语,主要表示主语的心理感觉或所处的状态。
常用的系动词有be,get,become,grow,seem,turn,remain,appear,feel,look,sound等。
例如:
Don’ttouchtheglassbecauseitisbroken.
不要碰那个杯子,它是坏的。
Sheisquitepleasedwiththedesignofthedress.
她很喜欢那礼服的式样。
2.“系表”结构与被动语态的区别。
“be+过去分词”表状态时,是“系表”结构,此时后面多跟at,with,in等介词短语;表行为时,是被动语态,有时后面有by短语表动作执行者。
除be动词外的“系动词+过去分词”都是“系表”结构。
试比较:
Becauseofthecontinuousheavyrain,theroadbecamedifficulttotravelon,andourcargottrappedinthemud.(系表结构)
由于连续的大雨,道路变得很难行走,我们的车陷在了稀泥里。
Morethan200peopleweretrappedinthebuildingbythebigfire.
