他最终遇到了一位善良的老先生;布郎罗先生，这位先生好心收留了他，他过上了好的生活。

可好景不长，奥利弗不幸在次身陷贼窟，赛克斯胁迫他参加一次远征行窃，最终失败了，挣扎在死亡线上，还是梅里夫人救了奥利弗并且好心收留了他。
