Westartedtheclimbintheearlyafternoon.Thepathconsistsofstonestepswithroughchainlinkhandrailsinthenarrowestareas（weworeourbicyclingglovesforhandprotection）。

Theplanforthedaywastoclimbtheotherfourpeaks,butwereservedtherighttoshortentheroute.ThefirstpartwasasteepclimbtoMiddlePeak.AfterthelowNorthPeak,alltheothersareatroughly2000meters.TherewerecrowdsonthewaytoMiddlePeak–mostlyChinesehikersbutwedidseeafewotherwaiguo（foreigners）aswell.

WevisitedtwoTaoisttemplesenroutetoMiddlePeak.Eachonehadanaltarwithincenseandofferingsoffruit.Thefriendlymonksinvitedustosayaprayerortosendblessingstolovedones.Franaeptedtheirinvitation.Atthefirsttemple,shelitincensesticksandkneltonacushioninfrontofthealtarsayingasilentprayerforoursafejourneytothevarioussummitsofHuaShan（theprayerwasanswered）。

Atthesecondtemple,shekneltonacushioninfrontofthealtarandsentsilentblessingstoseveralfriendswhoareexperiencingchallengingsituationsintheirlivesatpresent.Aftereachblessing,sheleanedforwardandthemonkstruckadrum.

WetookaroutethateventuallybroughtustothemainlinereturningdownfromMiddletoNorthPeak.Wewerehappytohaveascendedeachofthefivepeaks（petals）ofFlowerMountain.

Bycablecar（thelongestinAsia），itwasjust7minutesdowntotheparkentrance.Wecaughtashuttlebusintotown,thentransferredtoabusforXian.
