Nowadays,peopleallovertheworldsharethesameHollywoodmoviesandfashion.Whensomepeoplearecheeringthecolorfullifewhichtheculturalglobalizationbrings,othersraisedoubtsaboutit.Tomymind,culturalglobalization’sdisadvantagesoutweighitsadvantages.

Ontheonehand,culturalglobalizationhasalotofadvantages.Firstofall,globalizationisavitalprocesstowardtransferringknowledgeandeducationthroughouttheworld.Secondly,peoplecanenjoyculturalachievementsbyartistsallovertheworld,suchasfilms,TVprograms,music,operaetc.Finally,theexchangeofculturecouldenhancemutualunderstanding,creategoodwillandremovethehostilityandprejudicebetweendifferentnations.

Ontheotherhand,peoplewhoareagainsttheculturalglobalizationhavetheirownreasons.Firstly,theculturalglobalizationmayextinguishculturalindividualityanddiversityofminorcountriesandminoritygroups.Itisreported90%oftheworld‘slanguagesarenotrepresentedontheInternet;fivemaincountriesmonopolizetheworldculturalindustriestradeandinthefieldofcinema,forinstance,88countriesoutof185intheworldhaveneverhadtheirownfilmproduction.Moreover,globalizationerodeslocallanguagesandpromotes‘Global’English.ArecentstudypublishedbytheUniversityofHongKongdemonstratesthatmorethan80%of6000languagesintheworldaredyingoutbecauseofglobalization/underthreatofextinction.Lastbutnotleast,globalizationhasproducedadverseeffectsonlocalculturaltraditionandcivilizations.Somepeopleassertthattheglobalizationactuallyis,toalargeextent,Americanizationandmakeitextremelydifficulttomaintainculturalintegrityandreligiousidentity.Forexample,BeijingOpera,oneofmostfamoustraditionalartsofChina,hasgraduallylostitsattractiontoyoungpeople.

Inmyopinion,althoughtheculturalglobalizationhassomepositiveinfluencesonourlives,wecannotneglectthenegativeeffectonlocalculture.

2.EventhoughGlobalizationaffectstheworld’seconomicsinaverypositiveway,itsnegativesidesshouldnotbeforgotten,discuss.

Everythinghastowsidesintheworld,andsohastheprocessofglobalizationtoo.Theeffectsofglobalizationfortheworldeconomyarediverted.

Wemustacknowledgethatthenegativeeffectsarefromadifferentkindthanthepositiveones.Thereforethenegativesides,likelowpaymentinlessdevelopedcountriesareimportanttoconsiderate.

IfwetaketheEurozoneforexample,theeconomic-changesaccordingtotheglobalizationprocessarehuge.Manycompanieshavetransferredtheirfactoriesintocheaperproductioneasiertocompeteattheworldmarket.Theresultsarerisingunemploymentratesinthe“oldindustrialcountries”.

Inregardtotheothercountriesontheworldmarket,likeChina,thisjobtransferisabigopportunity.Butnoonecandenythattheconsequencesforthelessdevelopedcountrieswithflourishedeconomy,basedonavailabilityofcheapemployeesarehighlyimportant:

Allinallitcanbesaidthattheeffectsofglobalizationarehuge.Theunderstandingofeconomicprocesseshaschangedcompletely.Itisimportanttothinkinbiggerterms,notjustabouttheowncountry.Thepositivethingsthatthisglobalizationprocesshasbroughtmustbesensibleusforthenegativesides.Thealloveraimshouldbeaworldinbalance,butthiswillbealongway.（6.5分）

However,theseconditionsalsocreatethepossibledangerofdiminishingthenationalculturewithanegativeimpactonthepre123vationofnationalidentity.Throughglobalizationandanopendoorpolicy,erroneousconceptsandaloweringofethicalstandards,aselfishandindividualisticlifestyleandharmfulculturalproductscaneasilybeimportedintothecountry.Atpresent,moderninformationtechnologywhichinthemainiscontrolledbyUSishourlyandintensivelydisseminatingUSideology,wayoflife,cultureandfilmsacrosstheworld.EvenUSfoodispromotedsothatsomepeopleconsiderglobalizationasglobalAmericanization.

Duringtheprocessofeconomicglobalization,inequalitybetweendevelopedanddevelopingcountrieshasbeenincreasingandthegapbetweentherichandthepoorhasbecomewider,mostoftheresultofglobalizationgotoassistdevelopedcountries.Globalizationdoesnotposeequalinterestsandriskstoallnations.Withanoverwhelmingadvantagecomparedtomostofthedevelopingcountriesintermsoffinanceandthelevelofscienceandtechnology,developedca123alistcountriescontrolthesituationofeconomicglobalization.

Forthesereasons,globalizationisafierceandcomplicatedstruggleinbothculturalandideologicalfields.Wetaketheinitiativeininternationaleconomicintegrationbutalsohavetotaketheinitiativeinfightingtokeepourdistinctcultureresistingpro-foreignandcross-bredphenomena,andovercomingthepsychologyofpreferringmoneyoverethicalvalues.
