Asiteexpansionboardisonlyrequiredwhenexpansioncabinetsareused.InsuchcasesasiteexpansionboardmustbefittedinslotA（seeFigureTech.5-1）ineachcabinet.expansionboardredundancyiscoupledtoHIISCandXMUXredundancy.IfthemastercabinethasaredundantHIISCandtheexpansioncabinetshaveredundantXMUXs,eachcabinet（includingthemaster）mustalsohavearedundantsiteexpansionboardinstalledinslotB.

Alarmmodule

Analarmmodulemustbeinstalledineachcabinet,masterorslave.Alarmmoduleredundancyisnotsupported.

Thealarmmodulecanbereplacedwhilethecabinetsystemisrunning（hotswap）.Thiswilltemporarilyinterruptalarms,withtheOMC-Rreceivinganadditionalalarmmoduleoutofservicealarm,whichautomaticallyclearsuponcorrectinsertionofthereplacementmodule.

Alarmsdetectedbythealarmmoduleinanexpansioncabinetareforwardedtothetransceivers.ThesethentransmitthealarmstotheHIISCinthemastercabinetviatheXMUXandsiteexpansionboardintheexpansioncabinetandthesiteexpansionboardinthemastercabinet.（扩展机柜的告警是经由载频到XMUX板到扩展板再到主机柜的HIISC）

LowVoltageDisconnectImminent

Thisalarmindicatesthattherehasbeenalossofacpower,orthePowerSupplyUnit（PSU）hasfailed,causingalossofinputpowerfromthebackupbattery.Thisfaultconditionisservice-affecting.

Thisalarmisgeneratedwhenthebatterybackuppower（voltage）isnearingthepointwhereitstartsinitiatingadisconnectionoftheBTScabinets.Thisalarmappliesonlytooutdoorcabinets.This+27VbatterybackupinputpowersupplypowerstheBTSuntiltheacpowercanberestored,oruntilthebatteryvoltagedropsoutofrange.
