Thestereotypeoftheabsent-mindedscientisthaslastedalongtimebecausethemediaandHollywoodhelppromotetheimageofmeninwhitelabcoatswithglassessittingbyblackboardsfullofequations（等式）orworkingwithfizzing（嘶嘶响）testtubes．Thesestereotypesarereallydamagingtosociety．Verygoodschoolchildrenareputoffstudyingsciencebecausetheydon’tseepeoplelikethemselvesontelevisionorinmagazinesdoingscience．Theysimplydon’trelatetothemedia’simageofthemadscientist．
