SoontherewasaMother’sDayInternationalAssociationandthecustombegantobeadoptedinmanycountriesoftheworld.

AnnaJarvis,asadanddisillusionedwoman,diedin1948.Thecustomshehadworkedsohardtoestablishandwhichhadbecomealmostuniversalhadlostitsoriginalpurpose.Ithadbeentakenoverbybusiness.AswithChristmas,thegivingofpresentsandthesendingofcardshadbecomeamulti-million-dollarindustry.
