TheodorSeussGeiselwasborninSpringfield,Massachusettsin1904.Hewasfamousbecauseofthebookshewroteforchildren.Theycombinefunnywords,pictures,andsocialopinion.

In1957,DrSeusswroteTheCatintheHat.Heusedlessthan225wordstowritethebook.Thiswasaboutthenumberofwordsasix-year-oldshouldbeabletoread.
