thenthewindroseandbegantoblowinfitful,vigorousgusts,whichsentcloudsofpowderysnowaloft,andstraightahead,andeverywhere.Undertheimpulseofoneofthesegusts,greatwhitedriftsbankedthemselveslikegravesacrossthestreets;
