Predatorydragonflieswerecommon,andsomewereabsolutelyhuge.Thisone,Meganeura,wasthesizeofahawk,withawingspanofover60centimeters.Theforestfloorwasabug'

Andwhenthisrockwasquarried,italsorevealedtracesofrealmonsters,thebonesofhugedinosaurs.117millionyearsago,Oxfordwasareal-lifeJurassicPark.
DinosaurfossilshavebeenfoundthroughoutEurope.InLaRiojainSpain,thetracesthey'
veleftarenotonlythebones.Hundredsofdinosaurtrackshavebeendiscoveredinthismountainousregion,somerevealinganancientstrugglebetweenpredatorandprey,adeadlydramafromtheAgeoftheDinosaursfrozenforeverinalayerofrock.
AsreptilesconqueredtheskiesaboveancientEurope,dramaticchangeswereaffectingthewesternshores.Pangeacontinuedtodisintegrate,EuropewastearingitselfawayfromwhatisnowNorthAmerica.Thisseparationgavebirthtooneoftheworld'
