B.Purpose

ThepurposeofthisEuropeanSupplierQualityManual（ESQM）istospecifyMetzelerAutomotiveProfileSystemsqualitysystemrequirementsforoursuppliers.Theserequirementsextendfromsupplierselection,tonewproductdevelopment,toproduction.

C.Scope

ThismanualappliestoallDirectMaterial/ProductionMaterial/Servicesuppliers.ThismanualappliestoIndirectMaterial/ServicesuppliersonlywhenitisspelledoutinaMetzelerPurchaseOrder.

D.Responsibility

SuppliersareresponsibleformeetingtheESQMrequirements.Failuretomeetthese

requirementsmayresultinthelossofexistingand/orfutureMetzelerbusiness,inadditiontoreimbursementofthecosttoMetzelerresultingfromthosefailures.

Suppliersshallensurethattheirdirectmaterial/productionmaterial/servicesuppliersareconsistentwiththeconceptsmininDINENISO9001:

2000aswellasitispossibleintheISO/TS16949:

2002.

SuppliersshalladoptthestandardsofZeroDefectsand100%OnTimeDeliveryto

Metzeler.SuppliersshallunderstandthatanyestablishedPPMtargetisnotanAccepted

QualityLevel,butrepresentsanintermediatecontinuousimprovementsteptoward

shipmentofcomponents/materialsmeetingtheZeroDefectsrequirement.

E.Language

MetzelerAutomotive’sofficiallanguageisEnglish.AllofficialcommunicationwithMetzelerwillbedoneinEnglish.Documentsmaydisplaythenativelanguageinintegratedinsuchasaparalleltranslation.Inthisinstance,theEnglishistheonlyvalidversion.
