答题步骤讲解：
五分钟，一分钟一道。
第一步：
通读句子，英汉一起读，理解句意。
第二步：
利用动词、时间状语等线索，确定句子的时态。
如2006.12.88：
SincemychildhoodIhavefoundthatnothingismoreinterestingthanreading.（没有什么比读书对我更有吸引力）
Havefound提醒：
后面一定要用一般现在时。
2006.12.89：
Thevictimcouldhavesurvived（本来会有机会活下来）ifhehadbeentakentohospitalintime.
Hadbeen提醒句子谈的是过去，人现在已经死了。
2006.6.91：
Thoughaskilledworker,hewasfiredbythecompany（他被公司解雇了）lastweekbecauseoftheeconomiccrisis.
Lastweek提醒句子要用过去时。
第三步：
汉译英。
注意，先翻译谓语动词，把它放在前面。
动词（动词词组）一确定，你就成功了一半。
如下面这个汉语句子：
我邻居去东京度假，因为钱不够，回不了家了。
先找谓语动词。
这句话中有两个动作，“去度假”和“回家”。
哪个重要?
哪个是说话人要告诉你的重要信息?
是“回不了家”，所以return是谓语动词。
先翻译核心意思：
Myneighborcouldn’treturnhome.
接着，“度假”“钱不够”一前一后加上，把核心意思捧出来：
Myneighbor,whowenttoTokyoforaholiday,couldn’treturnhomebecausehedidn’thaveenoughmoney.再如2007.6.90：
Tomakedonationsorformoreinformation,pleasecontactusatthefollowingaddress.（按以下地址和我们联系）再如2006.12.90：
Somepsychologistsclaimthatpeoplemayfeellonelywhenthey’reawayfromhome.（出门在外时可能会感到孤独）
如果谓语动词不用你翻，就抓中文里面的关键词（keyword）。
如2007.6.91：
Pleasecomehereattentomorrowmorningifit’sconvenientforyou.（如果你方便的话）
迅速想出关键词“方便”的英文单词和用法：
第一，it结构：
Itisconvenientforsomebody…
第二，at结构：
atone’sconvenience
有了主干，再往上添枝加叶就容易多了。
第四步：
通读句子，检查错误。
看看句子是否通顺，你的翻译跟原来的英文是否协调一致。
注意，实在翻不出来，就不要硬拼，绕过石头曲折前进，小溪才能汇入大海。
教大家一种“反译”的小技巧，非常管用。
其中奥妙不必言传。
1.There’sstillwaterintherivers.河还没有干。
2.Studentsarestillarriving.学生们还没有到齐。
3.他每次都赢：
Heneverloses.
4.我天天想你：
There’sneverbeenadaywhenIdidn’tmissyou.
5.我一夜没合眼：
Ilayawakeallnight.
比较：
Ididn’tclosemyeyesallnight.
翻译专题
（二）2007年12月-2008年6月真题分析
2007年12月
这次考的翻译部分，难度比上几次略有加大，表现在要翻译的部分在中文表达上本身就长一些，而且所要翻译成的英语中运用的句型也要难一些，具体点评如下：
87.Owingto（或thanksto）aseriesofnewinventions（多亏了一系列的新发明），doctorscantreatthisdiseasesuccessfully.
此句翻译的关键是“多亏了”这个短语，翻译成thanksto或owingto要比becauseof或dueto好得多。
88.Inmysixties,onechangeInoticeisthatIamaptto或inclinedtobemoreeasilytiredthanbefore（我比以前更容易累了）。
此句中翻译比较结构不是难点，大家应该都能翻，但是如果把这句简单翻译成Ifeelmoreeasilytired得分应该不会太高。
89.Iamgoingtopursuethiscourse,nomatterwhateversacrificesIwillmake（无论我要作出什么样的牺牲）.
此句的难点在于“无论”的翻译，nomatterwhatever是重点。
90.Iwouldprefershoppingonlinetoshoppinginadepartmentstorebecausetheformerismoreconvenientandtime-saving（它更加方便和省时）.
注意开始的“它”如果简单翻译成“it”会有指代不清的嫌疑，而改用thelatter（后者）会更好一些。
另外要注意convenient一词的拼写！
91.ManyAmericansliveoncredit,andtheirqualityoflifeisweigheduponhowmuchtheycanborrow（是用他们能够借道多少来衡量的）,nothowmuchtheycanearn.
此句翻译时一定要注意和后面howmuchtheycanearn的呼应。
2008年6月
这次翻译可以说已经有考重的了，也就是以前的题目已经重新出现了，因为在四级阶段能够考查，就是能够出成翻译题的考点不多，所以经常有可能会出现重复。
像今年有5道题第一个题是考大家一个短语叫APPLYTO，这个短语在四级考试中已经是考过不知道多少次的一个短语。
87.Oureffortswillpayiftheresultsoftheresearchcanbeappliedtotheresearchanddevelopmentofnewtechnology（能应用于新技术的开发）.
那么88题主要是考察大家的一个虚拟语气，也就是假设情况下的，就是这个MUST，表示对于情况的推测。
88.Ican’tbootmycomputernow.Theremustbesomethingwrong（一定出了毛病）withitsoperatingsystem.
89题考的也是一个我们应该是前年的翻译中已经考过的一个词，就是不管不论，WHATEVER，这个考的是这样一个词。
89.Leavingone’sjob,nomatterwhatjobitis/whateverjobitis（无论是什么工作）,isadifficultchange,evenforthosewholookforwardtoretiring.
90题考的就是和什么相比较，这是考的一个短语叫COMPAREWITH，
90.ComparedwiththeplacewhereIgrewup（与我成长的地方相比）,thistownismoreprosperousandexciting.
最后就是考的一个UNTIL，可以说翻译这部分基本上大家只要是把历年的真题稍微做个准备。
难度应该不会很大，这部分得分数应该很快的拿到。
