Dr.HarveyGates,thenotedscientist,mightneverhavediscoveredtheKamronlizard(蜥蜴)inBlovia,ifithadnotbeenforachildhoodaccident.Asaboy,hewasdeterminedtobecomeabaseballplayer,butwhenhebrokehisarminpracticeattheageoffourteenandwasforcedtostayofftheplayingfieldforawhile,hetooknoticeofthenaturalworldaroundhimandlikedwhathesaw.
